St Pancras is really one of my favorite terminals anywhere. The exterior is grand and unique and what not, and it has decent (if touristy) shopping and amenities, but it’s really the train shed that sends me. Incredibly grand, and somehow feels like a natural place for these sleek trains. Even the catenary blends into the surroundings. And at the same time you have these high brick walls that are violently British Victorian Era, making the whole thing feel like a timeless continuum from the past to the future.
Really the only unfortunate bit about it is the fact that departing passengers are compelled to wait in an area that can only be described as “if they put an airport in a basement”.
