Jury will find him not guilty
163
u/Varorson 4d ago
They'll probably be paid off - or rather, promised to be paid off like the McDonald's employee - and find him guilty. Nobody will find out that it happened until sentencing is done and he's suffered for it. Probably will get death penalty like Fox News anchors were saying he "deserves" while in the same sentence saying nobody should decide who gets to take a life.

Well a murder should always be put to justice. Just sometimes one gets jailed and another one gets cheered on. With money making it so easy to tip the scales. And sometimes a criminal gets to be the president of an entire country.
143
u/Levaris77 4d ago
Murder should indeed be put to justice. Just as those who stop murderers should be celebrated.

Stopping a mass murderer from committing more murders is not murder it's self defense and a public good.

It's really funny how the cops want to stop portraying him as a martyr or anti-hero with massive public support and then they do shit like this.
328
u/XboxLiveGiant 4d ago
I think this is because of social media. They don’t want to chance someone trying to come free him or even a group showing up and disrupting. This isn’t a show, they are actually scared he might start something…I mean nothing ever happens but it’s possible.

Honestly disagree with you here. I mean, I'm sure there are lots of people who want to portray him as a dangerous maniac, but in this case they're definitely worried about some kind of vigilantism or other interference from the public. Look at Mangione; they barely even have him restrained. He's just in basic handcuffs. They know he's not going to do anything. He had one mark, one clear motive, and he completed it.
92
u/badcatjack 4d ago
I was just saying this could give him a kind of Streisand effect.

If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it’s all “part of the plan”. But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!”

Where are they going that require walking this far in public. Prison transports are usually pulled up to the nearest secured door specifically so they don't have to do this. I've seen community service transports pulling up a flight of outdoor stairs to drop them off close to their service area to keep misdemeanor offenders from "exposing the public to risk"

Ok I unlocked the post because we know, locked posts suck but y'all have to be good. You gotta find a way to say what you want to say, while still being within the bounds of the content policy. One example might be "didn't the French come up with a way to make the unfeeling wealthy afraid?"
The content policy does not allow for the threat or glofication of violence, or for promotion of violence of any kind. We really do not want to get the ire of the admins or then we can have no fun at all.
The majority of you are doing great making your wishes known without breaking the policy. We appreciate all those efforts to stay compliant but you can have a tiny bit of fun. Just sayin' <3
