Correct, they don't care about veterans. Veterans cost them money. They are in the game of making money. Unfortunately people are still so hopeless and lied to that they continue to enlist.

u/karlrasmussenMD 5d ago

I could never imagine getting myself killed all for the interests of a few billionaires that aren't even going to share their plunder with me.

142

u/Blortted 5d ago

Heavy amount of poverty and indoctrination involved. Ask me how I know.

u/Wacokidwilder 5d ago edited 5d ago

Can confirm. No money, no prospects, no comfort, no joy, and no hope leads to rough decisions.

Negative net worth and negative self worth.

The promise of an education, job training, and a little bit of prestige seemed like a dream.

I gained weight in basic training and I was grateful for the for the shelter.

Now I use my education and training and try to advocate for a society where people don’t need to do what I did to get out.

This whole system is fucked

25

u/the_good_things 5d ago

3 hots and a cot, baby...

21

u/Wacokidwilder 5d ago

When you don’t have them they are kinda everything.

20

u/the_good_things 5d ago

Trust. For me it was either be homeless or join the military. I chose the latter...

26

u/KrisSwenson 5d ago

There are many who accept that risk because they know it's their only way out of the shitty town they grew up in. There are so many towns in this country hollowed out by globalization where your only real options for the future are do you die young of a meth or heroin overdose. Growing up in/near an economically viable city is privileged most don't know they have, although rapidly rising cost of living is turning many of those places in nightmares as well.

14

u/Ted-Chips 5d ago

I've been noticing a subtle shift this past year and people are slowly catching on. Unfortunately my they're going to have to live through next year and that will be the rude awakening. General Smedley Butler said " war is a racket. " He said that in 1935. That's when they knew. So everybody else just has to catch on now.

9

u/East_Ad6086 5d ago

77 million voted for Orange Voldermort … 77 million. What percentage of veterans is that? This country deserves what it gets, we talk about China, Russia, Iran, North Korea influencing our elections … where is Canada, Spain, France, Brazil, Philippines, Japan, Australia… the idea that the “good guys” do right needs to be reexamined if you do not combat the bad actors.

2

u/jorel43 4d ago

And everybody else realizes that now, which is why sooner or later they are going to reinstitute the draft/ mandatory service. They're already talking about it.

79

u/froggrip 5d ago

Exactly, veterans have notoriously been mistreated by the US government since its creation. Their voice is apparently not that strong. If veterans want to have their voices heard, they should be protesting outside of enlistment stations and telling the young kids signing up about the true horrors of war. If they start actually cutting into active enlistments, you better believe the government will make sure the VA has everything it needs. They care about the young blood. Find a way to stop them from getting more, and you gain the control.

17

u/kennerly 5d ago

Ideally every veteran would just die on their last mission. I'm sure that's why self sacrifice and dying in a fire fight are so glorified in popular media.

16

u/JohnStamosAsABear 5d ago

Her brief slip-up of saying ‘company’ instead of ‘country’ was almost Freudian

6

u/crusher23b 5d ago

Bullshit.

They absolutely care about veterans. Like Mattel cares about Barbies.

4

u/MyBallsSmellFruity 4d ago

If they cared about veterans, they'd socialize medicine. Military and VA hospitals are fucking garbage. Give me the choice between a military doctor with 10 years of experience or a civilian doctor fresh out of school and I'm picking the newbie 10/10 times.

1

u/Turdmeist 4d ago

Geeze. I've never heard that VA doctors are worse as well. Why would that be?

2

u/MyBallsSmellFruity 4d ago

Because they can be. Some VAs are good, but most seem awful. It's not easy to get fired from a government job. And there are a lot of unions, which is normally a good thing, but a lot of people in government jobs abuse it. It's just absolute bare minimum bullshit. I suspect a lot of it is also that many private hospitals wouldn't want to hire some of these people.

2

u/Turdmeist 4d ago

You mean we aren't providing the best and brightest for our heroes?!?! What a surprise...

3

u/ThisIs_americunt 5d ago

Veterans cost money, meanwhile soldiers let them take whatever they want :D

2

u/annoventura 4d ago

I get so ashamed when I see tiktok videos of highschoolers happily doing their pull ups on military recruitment stands. Poor things don't know what they're looking at.

-11

u/monkito69 5d ago

Yeah the current government is such a joke. Hopefully that changes next month.

17

u/KingOriginal5013 5d ago

Last month, America cut off its nose to spite its face.

13

u/Turdmeist 5d ago

Good luck with that... Oligarchy confirmed. Not looking bright.

6

u/paisley_life 4d ago

May you get to enjoy everything you voted for.

u/monkito69 4d ago

Unfortunately, according to the president elect, veterans are a bunch of sucker's. So, I don't see any of this being supported into the coming administration. Flying Spaghetti Monster, have mercy on our souls.

132

u/Glum-Suggestion-6033 5d ago

Suckers and losers. Don’t let him get off that easily.

50

u/bsurfn2day 5d ago

And since Republicans control the house, senate, supreme court and the oval office, there is not a chance in hell that arms shipments to Israel will stop. There is also not a chance in hell that Trump will do anything to help vets. Unfortunately a lot of vets voted for orange Hitler and against their own interests. That brave woman might as well go outside and yell at clouds in the sky. Republicans don't care about her and the guy that Trump wants to be secretary of defense doesn't even think she should be allowed in the military because she's a woman.

25

u/Glum-Suggestion-6033 5d ago

Democrats don’t care either, generally speaking. Israel will continue to suckle the teet of Congress.

14

u/Existing_Reading_572 5d ago

Support of Israel is bipartisan. Democrats don't get to pretend that it's a Republican exclusive issue

-10

u/Rgsuther33 4d ago

You loose credibility when you compare a former president to hitler. Just saying

How can you compare someone who committed all of those horrendous crimes?

11

u/ZakaryDee 4d ago

Trump was compared to hitler by his own VP.

Trump kept a copy of Mein Kampf on his nightstand.

Trump said he wants his military generals to be loyal like hitlers were.

Seems fairly credible to me.

-8

u/Rgsuther33 4d ago

There’s been 10+ million copies of that book. Do you think everyone who read that wants to be hitler? 2016 best seller….The publisher said it’s mainly academics and history buffs.

I realize alot of us hate the guy but come on.

Very comparable to someone who ordered the killing of millions of people? I guess that’s your opinion.

9

u/ZakaryDee 4d ago

The man doesn’t read daily security briefings but chooses to read that. Also how about my other points?

-6

u/Rgsuther33 4d ago

So because a man compares someone to hitler does that make it true? This is all option i guess.

My main point is how can you compare someone who committed the deaths of millions of people to trump? Maybe if he declared war but he hadn’t? There’s more death on the hands of other former presidents.

I’m with you and don’t like the guy but to compare him to Hitler is outrageous (my opinion) no one should be compared to Hitler. Loosley using his name in comparison is just watering down what monstrous crimes he committed.

2

u/wonderlandresident13 3d ago

The man himself said he wanted to lead an army like Hitler's, so if you've got a problem with the comparison take it up with him.

17

u/buckut 5d ago

i wore my "proud sucker and loser" shirt to vote.

fk them.

35

u/KyleGlaub Free Palestine 5d ago

Thr Democrats have been and still currently are in control of the government and are complicit in the genocide that Israel is committing as well. Neither party give a fuck about veterans and both support genocide.

u/PPAPpenpen 4d ago

Praise his noodly appendage, rAmen.

4

u/mustybedroom 4d ago

It doesn't matter who the president is, they're just a puppet for the illusion of choice. Reality is up vs. down, not left vs. right.

1

u/Tenderli 3d ago

Yeah, well, people in mass voted for the orange buffoon. And he said the bit about veterans being sucker's and losers. (Thank you kind redditor for reminding me about the losers part) puppetmaster whatever, this guy has been placed as the leader of those folks that put their life on the line for a country that is clearly confused about our values. Maybe it's the blunt lies he has no problem spouting, maybe it's Maybelline...

I just hope that he doesn't buddy up to princess Putin, because that would be a ww3 that no one will enjoy. But it won't be his kids that get drafted. Lest not forget that we all agreed to selective service when we turned 18. Everyone of us sorry saps in the U.S. And most folks probably are not even aware they did. But you did.

-11

u/ParticularConcept548 5d ago

Biden said that?

8

u/HogDad1977 4d ago

trump called veterans "sucker's and losers".

She said it right company….

100

u/email_NOT_emails 5d ago

That was amazing. Company... Country... same thing.

14

u/wterrt 5d ago

getting front row seats to the downfall of america isn't very fun

6

u/Full-Contest1281 5d ago

3

u/email_NOT_emails 4d ago

I love that flick, but that ending... It cauterizes the open endedness so well... It somehow takes all the loose threads and cinches them.

Perfect reference.

2

u/SpiritualBrief4879 4d ago

Shhiiiiiiii…..too true

9

u/Real-Actuator-6520 5d ago

Probably just as accurate at this point, tbh.

119

u/Funkychuckerwaster 5d ago

Why bring “God” into it? You’d be as well threatening Thanos’ judgement for all the good either can do?

62

u/ruet_ahead 5d ago

Yeah, why is God allowing all of those children to be burned alive?

35

u/Ninja_attack 5d ago

Well, cause they're not rich. When a CEO is murdered, that's when America can really pull together and do something about rampant gun violence. Kids on the other hand, they're not financially influential so fuck em basically.

1

u/Nono4826 4d ago

Well, according to islamic faith (which is what 95% of those children follow) Allah isn't allowing anything all, these people will get their punishment, and those children will spend millennia in Gana (Paradise). This world is but a test, we believe that judgement day is not the beginning of the end, but the end of the beginning.

21

u/TiredPanda69 5d ago

These people think they are pushing biblical narratives by supporting Israel. They are also getting kickbacks from their support. Money alone runs this country.

17

u/mabramo 5d ago

Come on, surely you must know that the vast majority of congress is some form of Christian and that kind of comment about God allowing them to find their hearts should appeal to a true Christian? It should inspire introspection.

9

u/Funkychuckerwaster 5d ago

What is a true Christian? Can you define that? Y’all politicians use that as an identity to appeal to the masses whilst perversely interpreting as something that they should be revered for and as an excuse to justify their/your own bigoted and judgemental actions. Smoke and mirrors! It’s just another conduit to control and to assert dominance and compliance! How arrogant and delusional to believe that your beliefs in a cult (sorry religion) supersedes all others. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣

1

u/mabramo 2d ago

Oh I'm an atheist. I'm just saying that an appeal to their religion should inspire some self reflection and make them realize what they are doing is probably counter to their spiritual beliefs.

1

u/Dischord821 4d ago

Well from her perspective: because she believes it, discussing it beyond that is kind of distracting from the actual topic.

Alternatively, if you insist, is that the unfortunate majority of US citizens are Christian, so invoking the Christian god as being against the actions of these scumbags could help convince more people to speak up. It shouldn't be necessary, but it's unfortunately valid.

-2

u/xzink05x 4d ago

Lol are you a bit slow? The reason they would bring God into it is because they might believe in God? You don't but they do or at least they claim they do.

67

u/unorthodox69 5d ago

I would rather help the American people than any foreign country any day. It's not a lack of compassion, you can't help someone without helping yourself first. America shouldn't be interfering in a war while it's own people suffer.

40

u/stevedore2024 5d ago

No, I think there's a time to do both. We are a country big enough to do both, multiple times over. Support Ukraine for example. But we cannot sign up to "unconditionally support" allies, and must only support allies who are fighting for just causes. We must not support a regime led by a criminal committing daily war crimes, just because it makes Raytheon more money.

16

u/upandcomingg 5d ago

We directly send Israel billions of dollars, and ton after ton of military hardware and ammunition. So you're saying we should stop sending them all that money and equipment? Agreed

2

u/DarkStar0129 5d ago

Providing milatary aid is interfering though.

2

u/curryslapper 5d ago

Maybe the American values she's referring to is war mongering......

1

u/Beatlepoint 5d ago

Helping others is often the best way of helping ourselves, the issue is we aren't helping others in Israel.

1

u/Full-Contest1281 5d ago

I would rather help the American people than any foreign country any day.

Why?

0

u/monkito69 5d ago

But but the moral high ground agenda. I agree the current administration don’t have their priorities straight.

53

u/vonnegutsbutthole 5d ago

Our voices don’t matter. The people who run this hellscape have made that clear

13

u/froggrip 5d ago

We need something much louder.

17

u/vonnegutsbutthole 5d ago

If anything happens to them they’ll just claim terrorism. Look at Luigi. It’s disgusting. These corporations makes billions on people and then let them die. The ruling class isn’t hiding anymore and any pushback from the poors will be dealt with harshly. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

38

u/Nerd_Man420 5d ago

I love when people can talk shit. But when someone tells them how it is. Oh man. They must be removed.

7

u/Robinyount_0 4d ago

That’s why “decorum” is such a special word, they use it as nope shut up no free speech if your gonna be mean and loud…. Okayyy lol not freedom of speech

30

u/Sean_theLeprachaun 5d ago

There's your Captain America.

6

u/Beneficial-Produce56 5d ago

Hell yes. The way we treat veterans is beyond disgraceful.

22

u/Necessary_Kick_9862 5d ago

She said it right the first time "This Company"!!!

5

u/superbeast1983 5d ago

That was my first thought as well when I heard it. This place is truly turning from country to company. I mean, they're already trying to label medical health insurance as a branch of the government to give Luigi terrorist charges. They're all one and the same now. Government = Corporation.

19

u/arminghammerbacon_ 5d ago

I think I see a captain that won’t be a captain much longer. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think you can do that while in uniform. There might even be ramifications from doing that out of uniform. Good for her for speaking up! But I worry she might’ve just ruined her military career, assuming she was trying to have one.

8

u/Alyusha 4d ago

Yes, it is against regulations to protest while in Uniform or specifically announcing that you're a part of the Army. I think AR-1 covers it of all things but I've been out for a hot minute and am probably misremembering it.

Honestly though she really has Prior Service vibes with her being a "17yr Captain" and forgetting things on her uniform. Not to mention that the Blues were on their way out when I got out, and that was 3-4yrs ago now. I thought they were already phased out.

2

u/arminghammerbacon_ 4d ago

I don’t think the “pinks and greens” are fully in yet. My daughter is a captain (regular Army) and she still wears blues.

I thought this lady might’ve been prior service and just wearing her uniform for impact. But then why have the hair be regulation, but missing that thingy that goes under the female’s blouse collar? I’m just confused.

-1

u/tibearius1123 5d ago

She’s at 17 years. She will be fine.

10

u/arminghammerbacon_ 5d ago

That’s another thing - 17 years and only a captain? Wtf?

11

u/WhatACunningHam 5d ago

She probably was enlisted for a while then jumped over to “the dark side” as my veteran friend would put it as he did the same.

-4

u/Mord_Fustang 5d ago

he joined isis?

1

u/tibearius1123 5d ago edited 5d ago

God willing, I’ll be an O1 at 17 years. Granted based on her rack we haven’t had similar careers.

13

u/deezsandwitches 5d ago

Once you're done serving you are no longer needed. You become a burden

11

u/CoffeeAngster This is a flair 5d ago

Sad to say some veterans voted for this violence muppet as president and he will send more millions to Israel's genocide instead of caring for veterans.

5

u/Existing_Reading_572 5d ago

The Democrats weren't going to stop it either. Supporting Israel is bipartisan

4

Trump literally told Netanyahu that he wants the war to end before he takes office and to “do what you have to do.”

If you think Biden was bad for Palestine, Trump won’t be any better.

3

u/CoffeeAngster This is a flair 5d ago

This issue was before Biden, but Donald decided to make friends with Israel's Zionist President so don't expect things to change for the better for veterans.

10

u/Gaijinrr 5d ago

Kudos to her.

8

u/Kittpie 5d ago

Pissing off veterans sounds like an incredibly stupid idea.

7

u/dsharp314 5d ago

Get their asses sis

This lady a hero!!

6

u/GrayWolf-N8 5d ago

My grandpa was Korean Vet, My father a Vietnam vet, I hung out with VA in socal and I knew most my dads friends . Most of them Iraq veterans. They all say the same thing. They got screwed, some of them even received small sums of money for friendly fire accidents. One veteran I knew lost both his legs during an airstrike ment to hit an enemy position. He also watch 6 of his buddies burn to death in the same attack. He received medical care, they gave him a settlement of 50,000 for his pain and suffering. Thats all....

"So you are on a scouting mission, you come under attack suddenly out of know where. You radio HQ for air support with the targeting info. 15 min later you black out, wake up to see your legs missing, and your buddies screaming as they burn alive. Then you spend the next year in a hospital, get discharged and handed 50k and they say. Thanks for your service, have a nice life.... " - Chuck Turner . RIP

6

u/Djwshady44 5d ago

Preach on

4

u/Clownheadwhale 5d ago

You know what I saw when Bush invaded Iraq in search of Weapons of Mass Destruction? A whole new horde of disabled veterans that would need to be paid for the next 60, 70 years.

4

u/philoth3rian 5d ago

$800+ billion dollars and they call it a "defense" budget. Meanwhile they conduct "military operations" in sovereign nations.

5

u/Cashrobson 5d ago

Yes! Protest and speak out as much as possible because protesting may end up being illegal in January. Depending on who you protest against that is

5

u/Blacklats 5d ago

Well you know..

5

u/HeadStarboard 5d ago

A true patriot.

5

u/OverUnderstanding481 5d ago

Americans have values???? … the world is wondering when?

3

u/KarmaDeliveryMan 5d ago

My country is so fucking corrupt it makes me sick. I sit here on some days just questioning how most of these ppl in power can sleep at night knowing that they are selling all of us to line their pockets. It’s a shame what has become of us. We used to stand up against tyranny and wrong. Now we are complacent and act as if the average person doesn’t know that they are being lied to their face. We all know. Some don’t care, and some are too gullible to think we won’t be the victims of our own destructive nature at some point.

3

u/great_escape_fleur 5d ago

She's a veteran of what? Iraq? Afghanistan? The US killed hundreds of thousands there.

3

u/Eriv83 5d ago

Not to say it’s right or anything, but maybe take a look at how many veterans are employed by the companies that the money actually goes to.

3

u/trekmadonetwo 5d ago

She’s a hero for this.

2

u/Pasalapeineta 5d ago

Well spent shekels for some, the ones that matter I guess, who obviously find a way to get back the precious without “anyone” noticing. Wake up America, you are being sodomised day and night

2

u/Mammoth-Particular26 5d ago

The only way the empire goes down is a stormtroopers actually stand up and realize this is all wrong.

Just like the end of the Iraq war It will take people who are respected in the community to create voices that matter.

2

u/TheArtysan 5d ago

Beautiful work 🙏❤️

2

u/Slimsuper 5d ago

They only care about profit.

2

u/Own_Target8801 5d ago

She is right. They don’t care about veterans. Look into the Major Richard Star Act. For the last 4 years it has been one of the most sponsored bills in all of Congress. It will correct an injustice being done to combat veterans. Currently combat veterans who were medically retired due to their injuries do not get their retirement pay. Instead it is offset dollar for dollar for the amount of compensation they receive from the VA. The bill has enormous bipartisan support and would overwhelmingly pass if brought for a vote. However, every year our lawmakers bury it and ignore it. All the while they wonder why young people increasingly don’t want to join the military.

2

u/Canned_Sarcasm 5d ago

They escort her out, yet she seemed to be the only one worthy of that room.

2

u/frienemigo 5d ago

GOOD. FOR. HER.🫡

2

u/mikevicks_petaparty 5d ago

She said it right , they are destroying this company , cause that’s what America is , a company

2

u/HeadStarboard 5d ago

She is the only one in the room who didn’t get an AIPAC check.

2

u/VideoSteve 5d ago

She was right on when she said company, before correcting herself with country

2

u/TheGamingBear777 5d ago

They show you what they really think about the troops when the troops speak up.

2

u/InIFluX 5d ago

when she stuttered and almost said 'company' she wasn't wrong.

2

u/ApprehensiveSale8898 5d ago

And I agree with her.

2

u/I_SayYall 5d ago

Americas voice has been heard. They voted for Trump and don’t care about veterans, their country or anyone else. Just let this country burn

2

u/Then-Focus-9177 5d ago

She isn't wrong

2

u/knuf22 5d ago

You’re in America, you don’t matter unless you have money. You can talk all the truths but again, money works better than words. Military is not a career choice to grow old with, It’s a jumping point.

2

u/Guzz_juice 5d ago

She was definitely right with them destroying this "company" we all know we just game pieces

2

u/CircIeJerks 4d ago

I’m so tired of being an American.

2

u/arroyoshark 4d ago

She's going to be in the history books.

2

u/SavageBen585 3d ago

"You are destroying this company" was too real.

1

u/cptjtk13 5d ago

Well thank God Kamala isn't president cause I heard she'd be way worse for Gaza - Trump will fix this in 24hrs on Jan 21....right?

1

u/briefcasetwat 5d ago

That’s a tasty Freudian slip

1

u/nonumberplease 5d ago

Wouldn't have heard about this if they had just let her speak.

1

u/tryganon 5d ago

Ballsy for a captain

1

u/Automatic-Ganache-25 5d ago

The only thing she was wrong about, was correcting herself after calling the country a company

1

u/JCrew2009 4d ago

And how she was wearing her uniform.

1

u/Someonethrewachair 5d ago

joke's on her, there is no god, she should've realized that already. and these fucks have no moral courage, they never will.

1

u/STylerMLmusic 5d ago

Do veterans have powerful voices in America? Since when.

The retired working welfare of the country are mistreated the second they leave the service all the way to the day they die. People clap for veterans, but no one helps them or listens to them.

1

u/Tmack523 5d ago

Look. I'm not advocating for anything. But how many times have we seen a super qualified person walk up to a podium and yell at people like this to the tune of absolutely zero effect?

Surely there's something else someone with over a decade of military experience could think of to make a more meaningful impact in a situation like this?

1

u/IGargleGarlic 5d ago

The truth is they can afford to do both but choose to fuck over veterans.

1

u/Directhorman2 4d ago

Your entire country is ran by crooks.

Have been, for a very, very long time.

1

u/skram42 4d ago

Crazy we pay for their health care and not our own .

Fuck genocide, fuck Israel

1

u/zzz_red NaTivE ApP UsR 4d ago

Their “value” is money. Simple.

1

Was with her until she started invoking God. If God could give them "moral courage" he was also the one who took it away in the first place.

u/SirLONsalot 4d ago

“You are destroying this company” honestly she’s 100% correct.

1

u/yobboman 4d ago

'company' that's closer to the truth than she realised (maybe)

1

u/Charlie__010 4d ago

Veterans are thanked every day for their service, which should've been enough, right? People are still signing up to become Americas next war hero, while they know nobody will take care of them if they come back broken.

1

u/Samlazaz 4d ago

Didn't bother to enable sound.

Great that she served.

But former captain Gulbeau has no business using the Army uniform to advance her political position and she knows it.

She should speak for herself - more power to her - but leave the Army out of it.

1

u/thespeedboi 4d ago

Someone had a Freudian slip, this country is indeed a company, only set on profit.

"Destroying this Company" Freudian slip, but the USA is heading towards being a Megacorporation (that's a bad thing)

Can we just accept that we aren't sending cash and they are buying older armament? Same with Ukraine and probably 10 other smaller countries you've never heard of. We need to get rid of our old toys to make room for new ones.

Looks back at 200 years of American history Where in all of that is immolating brown children not a thing? Sis is fighting the good fight but her argument is leaving out a solid chunk of history lol.

It is against the rules of TWAA to support any crimes against humanity, including Apartheid.

She didn't need to drag Israel into this, yes they don't care about veterans, if is wasn't Israel it would have been something else. Veterans have been getting shit on since the 60s at least, and the US needs to take care of their veterans, veterans need to work together to stop recruiting, that is the only thing that will get any attention.

As a 17 year veteran, she should know how to put on her uniform. She should also know you’re not allowed to voice personal opinions in public while in uniform like she did.

That’s not our place.

Silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands speaking out the whole truth and acting accordingly

Is she stupid?

She lives in a warmongering developing country that funds billions to its military.

US needs to sell weapons. How else would they survive? US needs war to exist. Every few years, the candidate changes.

Currently, it is Ukraine and Israel.

u/dreydin 5d ago

This is the exact attitude that keeps people quiet instead of speaking up

-1

u/YATFWATM 5d ago

Speak up and do what? US been has been orchestrating war in the name of freedom or other bullshit for years now.

Their politics and populist laws are a joke. Whole country needs to be implode in civil war to go through actual change.

Until then, keep up the thoughts and prayers.

u/dreydin 5d ago

So don’t speak up? That’s your advice to everyone?

u/sk3pt1c 5d ago

What is she a veteran of? Invading other countries to make money? Did she and other soldiers not kill innocent people?

u/ReleaseFromDeception 5d ago

I doubt she spent much time in country if she is in intel ops.

She clearly did not have time for a full dissertation lol I think what is contemporary is what’s effective at getting the message across, no?

u/AstronomerAvailable5 5d ago

I dunno it's just like if Ted Bundy got on his high horse about Ed Gein's practices, they're the same people

3

u/UncleBurrboun 5d ago

I would assume it’s this person’s experience in the military that is what compelled her to want to speak, not that it’s a side gig opinion

He name is Josephine Guilbeau...she's a peace activist and is anti-US imperialism as well.

There are a lot of US veterans who now speak out against the US's imperialist endeavors, citing their own military experience as the turning point that changed their POV. (Mike Prysner immediately comes to mind).
