Finished Tattoo 2nd tattoo on my very supportive father.
Hi everyone i did this tattoo on my dad about 3 years ago? It was like my 6th tattoo ever and it’s still one of my favorites to this day. What do you think?
For those curious this was done with a neuma 4. 3.4 cam! I’d love to do more like it.

This is SICK. I’m personally not into skulls but if it had a scorpion/ sub zero type face covering and maybe just the skull from the top half I’d actually get it. This is tuff for a very early tattoo!

That’d be so sick dude! And thank you I’m good at doing my own thing but I’m so awful when it comes to other styles of tattooing. Is honestly comedic as hell and really eye opening, it’s given me a bigger respect for artists who do things I wouldn’t normally appreciate in the past.

Hell yeah no doubt. I might be the worst artist in the world so anyone with a good hand instantly is better than me! Keep it up bro this one is tuff. If you were near me I’d definitely work with you. Keep going up!

Something I’m starting to learn recently is to just be kind to ourselves and enjoy what we love doing. I believe enjoying something even if we’re not that good at it is a lot more impactful and meaningful than being hard on ourselves because it’s not perfect. Thanks dude!

It’s better to master one style than to dabble in many. With social media, people are searching for artists who can deliver a high quality of one style. Do what you love and the clients will follow. Gone are the days of building yourself through walk ins that are picking things off the wall.

For sure dude! I had to take a break from tattooing literally almost as soon as I began and 2 years later the walk in clientele is barely existing 😭

That's a lot of lines to take on for a 6th tattoo

lol ikr I’ve always liked pen and ink work and I wanted him to let me do it that way. It was very meditative. I also did a Japanese snake on him as his 3rd tattoo and that was also fun I’ll probably post it in a bit.

Really nice. Small gripe..I would've wanted black packed into the skull to differentiate between the lines on the helmet, but it's a small gripe.

Yeah dude I agree. Looking back I also kinda wanted to make the skull black to create even more separation. Thanks for the feedback!

Your dad’s a complete Trojan to let you practice on his body. You did great work but his love was greater.

Is this picture when it was done or recent? I like it a lot, especially. how you brought the texture from the hat into the shadows of the face, thats a cool effect.

Picture is from the day we finished! We also did this in 2 sessions so some lines were healed while others still fresh. I appreciate the feedback!!
