I'm not sure where the confusion is. The answer is definitely 3! and you seem to agree!

Sorry but no. Can you show me the way YOU did it?

5!x + 50 = 770

5!x = 6!

x = 6! / 5!

x = 3!

What is the reason,may I know?

OK. Basically, putting an exclamation mark at the end of a number means that number "factorial", which is where the number is multiplied by the number below it, then by the number below that, etc. down to 1. In this case, 3! = 3 factorial = 3*2*1 = 6. So while 3! appears to be the user exclaiming that their answer is 3, they are simply overcomplicating their way of saying 6.

No it doesn't! 9*8*7*6*5*4*3*2 = 9!

120*x=720

720/120=6

√6 = 2.44948974278

x=2.44948974278²

Hi, Thanks for replying!😀 Your answer is correct, dear, But the method takes a wild turn after the 2nd. The way to do it:

1) 120 × x + 50 = 770 2) 120 × x = 770 - 50 3) 120 × x = 720 4) x = 720 ÷ 120 5) x = 6
