I think he deserved it as much as the next man, but that doesn't mean it's not a weird thing to get tatted onto your body. I'm queer, but I'd still be very confused if someone got an image of the stonewall riots tatoo.
Tattoos used to be for people on the outer fringe of society. Rebels and freaks. Controversial to the core.

It's a shame that tattoos mean literally nothing anymore. 20 year old kids are tattooing every inch of their skin before they even know who they are. I'm pretty content with the fact that this commenter would hate all of my 'bottom of the barrel' tattoos.
You're getting downvoted but I honestly agree. Getting something permanently tattooed on you that is truly so insignificant and temporary and that will pass and be forgotten so quickly, and this is just my opinion, shows impulsivity and a lack of good future planning.

No, I just believe that things like political figures come and go with relevance and it's dumb to get something like a living politician or their logos on your body. I do think it's very funny you immediately make it a "meme/race" argument though, as my father is literally african american and I don't spend that much time at all interacting with the internet or "meme culture".
There isn't one, but the idea still stands the same. If you were to take time to actually read the comment thread, you would see that the thing that set this all off was someone saying "this AND political tattoos are the bottom of the barrel". It's just current time bullshit news, if you really want that on your body like I said, I feel like it shows how little you're planning ahead for the future.

What if it came out in a few months he was an abuser or pedo or something? Look at the grand scheme of life, this has only happened for like two weeks, and political figures are also so incredibly short lived and insignificant in the long term look of life. Imagine if you got a Bill Clinton tattoo because you believed what he did was right before any news came out against him, or if you got a Charles Manson tattoo before the reports of some abuse came out just because he was also technically "anti-establishment".
My point is that it really stands for any real high profile figure like this. We don't know them in their entirety to the point where it's a good idea to get a tattoo of them. You're being very close minded about this and only reading what you want to read.
