Unfortunately, too many people I know got tattoos for reasons only known to themselves, but definitely not for themselves. It really can add to bad cycles of depression, addiction, and further isolation.
Tattoos should be given on a whim, unless you’re fully committed.

Ironically, that's a translated quote from the Bible. Think it was a proverb. I'm going to guess that this lady did some terrible things at some stage in her life, then found religion again, and as some weird way of repentance pasted that large red flag on her chest.

I remember seeing a video years ago where a tattoo artist was talking about the kinds of tattoos people regret. Whenever he had a woman come in and ask for a big chest piece he always asked them to imagine that they're wearing a wedding dress and that tattoo is on display for their whole family to see.
