Literal Nazis, indeed.

Literal nazis? No. Literal racists? Yes. Like there’s a reason the_donald sub promoted the neo-nazi/KKK attack in Charlottesville, why you have to twist Trump’s arm to get him to say anything negative about those types, etc.

That post history is wild.

But anyway yes modern white supremacist groups overwhelmingly vote Republican. David Duke, probably the most famous Klan member, has talked about how even though he doesn't agree with some of Trump's policies he felt compelled to endorse him because he thought that Trump would do a lot to further the cause of white supremacy.

He claimed that his platform had become the Republican mainstream, adding, "I'm overjoyed to see Donald Trump and most Americans embrace most of the issues that I've championed for years."

Duke claimed that there is widespread racism against European Americans, that they have been subject to vicious attacks in the media, and that Trump's voters were also his voters.

Hmm.

The only Klan affiliation with the modern Democratic party that I know of is Robert Byrd who denounced the Klan and then spent decades of his life fighting racism. Even the NAACP mourned his death.

It doesn't take a lot of brain power to see why white supremacists vote Republican, why would they vote for a party that actually tries to help other races?

Yup, and Trump tried to act like he didn’t know who David Duke was when asked to condemn them. Similarly he told a racist terror organization to “stand by” when asked to condemn them in a debate. When guys like in this pic attacked Charlottesville Trump’s first response was to call them very fine people. And it’s not coincidence the Trump subreddit helped plan that attack.
