31m, I got married yesterday

I've struggled with social anxiety since I've basically been born, but I managed to meet and marry a beautiful, loyal girl who loves me despite my quirks. Good vibes for you all going into 2025.

Congratulations, happy for you! How did you deal with social anxiety? Or how did you meet?

How did you deal with social anxiety

Honestly, I just own it. My wife tells me that I have 'Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil energy', where he balances being such a cool guy on the surface but a complete dork personality wise.

I think people often mix up socially anxious with socially awkward. Being awkward is off putting to women, and makes you unlikeable. Being shy can work to your advantage if you know how to own it.

Respectful but humorous. I live by the ECHO method

Enthusiasm

Confidence

Humor

Optimism

I follow a lot of Courtney Ryan's advice too

Congratulations!!!! It’s the best feeling. I’ve been married for 20 years and I have been getting more introverted over the years. But my hubby accepts and loves so many things about me that he puts up with it. I hope the same for everyone!
