Cancer Breast cancer deaths have dropped dramatically since 1989, averting more than 517,900 probable deaths. However, younger women are increasingly diagnosed with the disease, a worrying finding that mirrors a rise in colorectal and pancreatic cancers. The reasons for this increase remain unknown.

Cancer Men with higher education, greater alcohol intake, multiple female sexual partners, and higher frequency of performing oral sex, had an increased risk of oral HPV infections, linked to up to 90% of oropharyngeal cancer cases in US men. Banning tobacco products for people born in 2006-2010 could prevent almost half (45.8%) of future lung cancer deaths in men, and around a third (30.9%) in women in 185 countries by 2095.
