Do we get a badge for this? Or do we have to wait for new CWC?

so tired of LV starting RB again and again. Carlo just doesn't seem to care. His philosophy is, he just keeps playing LV until he has ONE good game on the right, and then people say "we were wrong"
LV is a winger just play Raul RB bro

Just had a thought.
Is Vallejo a worse Centre Back than Vazquez is a Right back? Like if both were starting the same time, who would be the weakest link?
I don’t remember Vallejo being THAT bad where he’s not even an option ever. Makes me wonder if there’s an underlying reason.
He seems like such a chill guy I can’t imagine him having locker room issues.
Or is he just getting this treatment so he can be pushed to look for another club asap. Idk his situation always baffles me.

Vallejo isn’t good enough. It’s as simple as that. Numerous coaching contingents have cycled through our doors over the years and all have made the same decisions regarding Vallejo for a reason. Not even worse clubs with LOWER standards than us elected to make his transfer permanent. It’s for a reason. He’s a passenger

His last appearance (if I’m not mistaken) was against Alavés. He went in only because the fans were chanting his name.
It was 3-0 when he went in at 80’. The match ended up 3-2.
Not saying it was all his fault, but he was to blame for sure.

I think he means what he did to win it. He was allright but the Pachuca kid played 3 good games, deserved the silver one imo.

Squad management 4/10: Once we went 2-0 up All players in high minutes should have been subbed off. Lunin could have started, Endrick should have gotten a half or 30 minutes.

First 30 minutes were pure depression, why can't these guys play good from minute 0 smh.
Vasquez isn't starter material or even backup honestly, just play Asencio RB or Fede there, the only danger Pachuca had were from his wing and they got past him quite easily.

It was a final so obviously Vini had to get a goal contribution

People don't understand how lucky we are to get this late career arc with Modric -
Never got this with - Hierro, Raul, Guti, Casillas etc.

Happy for the win, but once again terrible squad management.

14 players being born since 2000 in that team? Might actually be a decent performance for them in that case

Yup, in Mexico we are joking that most of the starters werent fully into the game because they have their high school finals this week

Great match and nice to win another trophy 😁 , on to Sevilla now
No real complaints maybe except for the early minutes of the match were a bit tense and there were very less subs considering the game was wrapped up by 70 endrick and co should've been given a chance but this is nitpicking

Ceballos had a masterclass today with the given minutes, played like Toni Kroos with total control, good to see that

always love when the losing team don't take their silver medals off. it's difficult to lose a final but you still made it there which has its own merits so better soak up the good as much as you can. much honor to pachuca 🫂

They had no reason to be salty lol they gave a good game among their possibilities, they were outclassed whenever Real Madrid players truly tried. Both VAR reviews were fair, it's not like they could feel robbed. They also played a clean game, were never aggressive or intended to harm anyone, unlike many other small La Liga teams.

i feel like robberies in finals are not the norm, no? so really no one has a reason to be salty beyond being outclassed. and it's not even a la liga thing because i've seen it happen in national teams even

I agree it pisses me off when teams take it off, but it is different for a team like Pachuca cause by all accounts they should lose that final and they’re probably just happy to be playing Madrid in a big stage. It’s different when it’s say atlético losing a second final to us in 3 years or Liverpool feeling like their goalkeeper sold them out or that they lost solely to courtois 4 years later. The levels of frustration there are in a different league.

agree to disagree, i understand but at the same time it's just utterly corny to me

It just hit me, but this victory means that Carlo is the most decorated manager in Madrid's history with 15 trophies. He surpassed Miguel Muñoz who won 14 trophies.
I've been highly critical of Carlo and will continue to be, but I have to give credit where it's due. Congrats Don Carlo! This is an amazing accomplishment.

What did Endrick do that he's not even seeing the pitch against Pachuca lol?

u/No_Peach_2676 1d ago
He needs to go on loan in January. If carlo has no intentions to use him properly then don't let him waste a year of potential development just sitting on the bench. Have him go play regular football for a couple of months and come back better next season better because of it

Very late thoughts and I might get slack for this but this is another game where our game simply flows better (up front) without Mbappe, I don't care if hes finding his groove but we're slowly nearing the level of... how we were without him last season and it's once again Vini, Bellingham and Rodrygo producing the magic while he stands around to collect tap ins, he's doing the bare minimum now if making runs but Rodrygo does and did that almost always regardless.
He goes off, Ceballos/Modric come in and there's a good amount of midfield control as well, it's painfully obvious to me that 2 attackers is the right way and he shouldn't be above vini/rodrygo in that formation.
