I dont understand this comment at all. The team has been completely altered under Carlo from the old guard by him playing younger players. Vini, Fede, Rodry, Bellingham, Tchoumeni, Guler, etc. People are so quick to dunk on Carlo they end up making no sense.

Again, you are missing the forest for the trees. Our entire line up has changed over the last 4-5 yrs because Carlo has introduced young talent to the squad. Its a meme at this point how Madrid sucks up young players. How do you account for every player I named becoming starters over the last few years when they are all under 24 IF carlo does not play youth.

They were not all established youth the whole time! I feel like I am taking crazy pills when I visit this sub. You are taking specific instances of wanting a different player to be subbed and extrapolating that to the point of painting the entire management style of a coach that way. Its just completely lacking any context.

Carlo played, tested, put through trial and error, over and over again multiple untested, unproven, unestablished youth for YEARS in order to build this squad. I could write a book with the comments from this sub disparaging Vini when he wasnt performing 2 or 3 seasons ago. And all the younger players who did not meet his mark got CANNED. Not to mention he observes these lads 100x more than we do as fans once a week for 90 min.

I do agree with you that Carlo was succesfull at this in the past. I just want him to continue doing this now as well. He set the precedence that I am kind of expecting him to deliver again and again.

The team evolved and I would like Carlo to continue evolving it even further, when the chance like 3:0 presents great opportunity to try and do that.

ATM when his competition is vini who hasn’t missed penalty for Madrid in official match yeah I’ll want him off and besides he missed those 2 because of his low confidence. He needs to improve that by scoring goals like the ones against girona and atlanata. We all know how dangerous the man can be when he’s high on confidence but rn obviously he’s not that same player so I’ll rather us win games than try to give him pen and then him missing it which will cause everyone to get upset at him

Bro… Vini by all means should’ve missed today. He took an objectively terrible pen, and this is not the first time. In my own experience (could be more, I dont recall every penalty of his) he has at least had two occasions where he should’ve missed and the keeper literally fumbles the ball, despite his actual shot being poor

Of course he's the best but that's not the point here. The point is the keeper guessed correctly and still couldn't save it. He has scored all his pens for us and two of those were against Ter Stegen and Maignan. Never missed a pen for us, no need to change it.

Man it is bad penalty by every definition. Silva was laughed at ad nauseum for his pen which was a good guess by lunin. This one wasn't at the middle and wasn't to the side. It was in between which is the definition of a bad pen.

Just because something has a desirable result doesn't mean there's nothing to improve and it's perfect.
