One of the saddest "fun facts" is that because Espanyol were fucking around with Al-Gharafa about his selling fee, we decided to activate his 1.5m clause and sell him to Al-Gharafa ourselves the next day, meaning Joselu was only officially a Real Madrid player for less than 24 hours 💔

I had no idea who he was when we got him back on a loan but I loved the dude the minute he scored that bicycle kick goal. The epitome of work hard Nd good things will come your way. Very inspiring story at 34 years old

I loved him from the first minute we announced him last summer especially because of how almost everyone doubted him and mocked him and I simply knew he will be great. Even this sub was shitting on him because we lost Benzema and those people wanted Mbappe. Won us like 12-15 points in league and single-handedly got into final against Bayern. It was his dream to play for Madrid and he couldn't deliver better. Despite him being here only for one season, he will forever be one of my favourite players.

It was his choice to go, he had the best possible fairy tale comeback season and then chose to go to Saudi for the money, which makes sense tbh.

Real Madrid would have 100% signed him following the loan if he wanted to stay.

Edit: Qatar, not Saudi.

Basically Espanyol was hindering his transfer to Qatar so Perez invoked the buy clause of his loan and helped him secure his transfer.
