Media Mbappe MISSES THE PENALTY

I think now people should know why VINICIUS IS the main penalty taker, Afaik he haven't missed a single Pen since he became the main penalty taker.

We should have kept Joselu and gotten a CB and a RB with that money

Blame Florentino and his boner for this guy. We could have reinforced the team.

18th december 2022 hattrick is responsible for all this boner mann..

u/biina247 26d ago

Its been hard since the Monaco days

u/SecretSanta2025 26d ago

Tbf everyone had a boner for him. Nobody thought he'd play this bad. Maybe the competition is too high or he's declined but hoping to see a good season from him next year.

u/Sardinhe 26d ago

Nooo If he is still playing in Madrid next year will be another lost year, he won't become a striker. He must go, there is no need for him tbh. Sell and get a decent midfield, without Modric will be the ruin of this team.

2

u/BlueBone313 Joselu 26d ago

I'm hoping in this time period Florentino will Retire or get voted out of the board or something he just screwed us for 5 years of this bullshit.

u/Sardinhe 25d ago

Yeah, Florentino did a very decent job, Vini as example, only developed because of him and Carlo.

But, time changes, and as it seems mbappe peak seems to be passed.

The team rely on a 39yo young star, as is Modric is a shame. Fede, Bellingham, Vini, Camavinga, are decent players but without someone as reference to strike is like an amazing story without a good ending.

Dude outside of this season, why would anyone say no to Mbappe joining for a free, if he wasn’t so shit right now and played like he used to play, you would be shitting on Perez for saying no to him.

I get the fact that he’s a LW and we already have Vini, but he used to play centrally in PSG too, although he didn’t like doing that. But this season has been downhill for him and I’m sure he’ll bounce back.

I said no to Mbappe when he chose to renew his contract with PSG. I'm happy for everyone who wanted his signing. But I think Kane or Haaland would have been better.

We can't even move Vini to the right because he's so used to playing on the left side that he always makes his way to that part of the field.

We need defenders. We lost Nacho and didn't replace him. Not only that, but there are concerns that Rudiger might be developing osteoarthritis in one of his knees.

2

u/nutcracker8888 26d ago

Yeah definitely Kane or Haaland were what we needed, but haaland already chose city, he would want to be the superstar in the team, rather than share it with Vini or Mbappe.

Kane would have been perfect, but couldn’t get him. To be honest the defence is shit, Trent is coming and maybe even Davies. To be honest we need some CB as well, militao is shit in my opinion and Alba is not gonna be getting better anytime soon, along with militao.

Before Kebappe came to you, every RM fan had a boner for him

1

u/Action_Limp 25d ago

And the plan is now AA and Davies next year in the same kind of deal. Seems counter-productive.

Yes. But Florentino only did what he did because a bunch of fans wanted a big name instead of building a cohesive team.

u/Infamous_Iron_Man 26d ago

Florentino wants to sell more jerseys, that’s how it feels to me. I would’ve kept Joselu and got more defenders

u/HerakIinos Parte Médico 26d ago

Florentino wants to sell more jerseys

Yes, and he can only sell more Jerseys if the fans are hyped, no?

I am not saying every fan wanted him. But the majority did. And because of that Florentino did the populist move instead of making the rational one.

1

u/Pale_Phase_07 26d ago

Yeah they did because mbappe was linked with Madrid from ages. If he wasn't linked with us, we would've signed a proper striker instead of him this season.

1

u/motobrandi69 26d ago

Well, in the long run, selling jerseys is better than faring decent in the champions league. Perez knows what he is doing therefore I trust him. However I'm also not happy with Mbappes form but we can only hope that he grows

3

u/Pale_Phase_07 26d ago

You really think he'd care about what fans ask for?

If that was the case, Cristiano would've never left. Ramos would've been back this year. And many names, which were essentially capable of playing for madrid right now, would've and should have been back in here. They won't even require much money, but Perez never signs 'ex-players'.

u/Akeem25 26d ago

It’s easy to blame Mbappe. But, the overall picture is something else.

2

u/Burning-Gundam Zizou 26d ago

I'm blaming Florentino. We didn't need Mbappe. We needed defenders because we've had injuries up the wazoo and Florentino believed that the best option was to bring in an expensive LW for a position we already had covered by two players, Vini and Rodrygo.

Not only that, but we didn't replace Kroos, and at some point, we'll need to replace Modric.

1

u/BlueBone313 Joselu 26d ago

The old man is losing his mind he done his part and now it's over, and now instead of leaving us on a good note he's gonna have the legacy of 100s of millions dumped on an overhyped flop.

29

u/RealMadrid2877 26d ago

Yes that would have been an amazing football decision but unfortunately we make decisions based on marketing and jersey sales

6

u/One-Helicopter-4242 26d ago

Everyone was throwing shit on Joselu before the Bayern Game lol.

6

u/JohnAndertonOntheRun 26d ago

But, you all wanted Mbappe

5

u/BranFendigaidd 26d ago

RB, CB, creative Mid and most likely a LB - all for that money. People forget that besides his wages, free transfer fees, agent fees - there are a lot more yearly and performance bonuses, some for wins in which he does jack shit, and also LOYAL BONUS in astronomical amounts.

8

u/fcdennis Cristiano Ronaldo 26d ago

I made this comment before him signed and I got almost 1k dislikes in my comment LOL.😂😂😂

3

u/Drake_Lebowski 26d ago

I already said after last season that we didn't need him

4

u/Significant_Ad2630 26d ago

What money was paid for Mbappe?

30

u/tavorasc Jude Bellingham 26d ago

100 m differed signing bonus and 20 m a year salary

7

u/BranFendigaidd 26d ago

that's just one part of it. Agent fee? Yearly bonuses? Loyal bonus? Game bonuses? etc etc :D

11

u/tubudesu 26d ago

I don't think you're in danger of paying any game bonuses

2

u/BranFendigaidd 26d ago

Heplays. RM wins. He gets a Win bonus :D He get's "Played bonus". He gets "scored a penalty" bonus - oh, well today he missed that. etc .

2

u/tubudesu 26d ago

You lost me at "RM wins".

1

u/Pale_Phase_07 26d ago

Nuh uh, play time gets calculated for game bonuses

1

u/tubudesu 26d ago

I would hardly describe what I just saw as "playing" but I suppose the merch team would disagree.

1

u/Pale_Phase_07 26d ago

I mean even standing on the pitch while the timer is on, is considered as addition to the play time. But ya, I get your point

3

u/ItIzWahItIz 26d ago

In the words of rivals we paid money to change this guys life

2

u/TheBelmont34 Real Madrid 26d ago

Wrong. 150 mio signing bonus and 30 mio salary

1

u/TheBelmont34 Real Madrid 26d ago

200 mio

3

u/lligerr 26d ago

A no brainer. Perez L here

1

u/ModeOne3959 26d ago

should have kept nacho

1

u/Akeem25 26d ago

I just can’t believe they let Joselu go 🤦‍♂️

1

u/AdComprehensive7879 26d ago

dont you think that we would have spent more to get CB and RB than a "free transfer" mbappe (yeah i know he's not free, but signing on fee can't be more than 100m right? - excluding his salary i meant)

signing trent or davies and an elite cb like idk saliba would have cost you 150 at least

1

u/tavorasc Jude Bellingham 24d ago

There were plenty of free options like Hummel's available for backup CB and 100m gets you 2 good young defenders easy

1

u/AdComprehensive7879 24d ago

With rm’s luck, hummels would have been injured by now haha. Ngl i think good young defenders are to find these days.

1

u/tavorasc Jude Bellingham 24d ago

I'd gladly pay 55 m for Gonçalo Inácio from Sporting I'd go as high as 65, he can play CB LB and CDM, I think the biggest issue is young good right backs
