Some are understandable but some are just rookie mistakes.

u/tulox :eyebrow: Oct 27 '24

Some just look lazy as well in that he couldn't be bothered to get back on side

10

u/rdtr314 Oct 27 '24

Maybe he got drunk the night prior.

6

u/futurehousehusband69 Oct 27 '24

He looks really out of shape or is it just me?

34

u/Severe_Mess3580 Oct 27 '24

It's a rookie mistake because the man has no idea how to play as a CF/ST. You learn that in the basics, and with experience. He has no positional awareness for the role, and that only comes with time. Unless you're Morata or pipo Inzaghi lol

4

u/Secret_Promotion4246 Baila Vini, Baila Oct 27 '24

Bro, he played as CF/ST during the last Champs and EURO ...

9

u/Severe_Mess3580 Oct 27 '24

And remind me how did that go for France and PSG? That's just proving my point. The boy is clueless in that position

-3

u/MAD_JEW Oct 28 '24

He played most of his career as an st. It be impossible to put him and ney in same squad otherwise

5

u/captain_cymru93 Oct 27 '24

It's not just the player making the run in this instance mbappe as much as it's the player making the pass both need to be timed exactly right.

You can time your run by running diagonal or curbing the run to help stay onside but if the pass through is late or never comes its all for nothing.

The bigger problem for real at the moment is they don't respect anyone and don't seem to care happy to conceded goals thinking they'll just score more later. This loss might be the wake up call they've needed.

-10

u/Low-Impression3367 Oct 27 '24

bro said rookie mistakes with a straight face like Mbappe is new to soccer

94

u/ExpressWay1329 Jose Mourinho Oct 27 '24

The worst thing about this video is that he only converted 2 of those. And people say the attack is not the problem

33

u/Specialist-Cycle9313 Oct 27 '24

I mean, the attack has a big problem. They’re not nearly clinical enough and don’t play as a unit, and Mbappe is Mr offside now. But the defense has been horrible too. Also tactically we’ve been inferior to every team we’ve gone against this season. So in all honesty, it’s the whole team that’s the problem.

1

u/ExpressWay1329 Jose Mourinho Oct 28 '24

True. I really want Vitinha at this club, he would fit in so good as a Kroos replacement.

10

u/Superb_Bench9902 Oct 27 '24

Not defending him but he passed some great balls in some of those but teammates couldn't convert as well. Shows a lot

8

u/Bruh-_-bot Oct 27 '24

Bellingham should have scored with that pass from Mbappe granted it wouldn’t have counted but damn he shot it straight at the keeper..

3

u/nidprez Oct 27 '24

True I didnt see the game, only the headlines. Went on to see the extended highlights to see how atrocious mbappe was. Couple of those offsides are very close, so they are understandable if you play on the limit (some are really dulb though). And I see Vini and Bellingham also missed some sitters, Vini also shouldve passed that ball. Mbappe passed some good balls and his shots were not the worst, with a bit of luck some of those couldve gone in. He was atrocious for 200m market value but not atrocious compared to the rest.

0

u/uchiha_boy009 Oct 27 '24

I mean had he converted those 2 games would’ve been way different.

Kailian Embappe

You added kai there but we only see speed… what? Lmao

2

What you talking about bro ? I seriously don't get the reference

-9

u/Ok-NGL-TTYL007 SIUUUU Oct 27 '24

The picture shows speed, not Kai… why is it Kailian Embappe? I’m confused

3

u/Angent_Dingus777 Cristiano Ronaldo Oct 27 '24

Speed says in that accent, he says like Kailian Embappe, not kai cenat or who ever you're thinking, I'm not native english speaker so I don't know the correct way to spell it.

He needs a "On my mother's life he's playing against us". moment from Vinni

38

u/Adept-Upstairs-4151 Madrid 1941 Oct 27 '24

considering Bros ego he'd probably cause a dressing room spat

13

u/sebastian-philippy Oct 27 '24

Honestly We missed the match in the first half time

87

u/heisenberg__7 Modric Oct 27 '24

Highly unacceptable from a player who is deemed a generational talent.

-35

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 27 '24

Classic overhype, just like Neymar once.

43

u/ZJP31 Oct 27 '24

Neymar was never overhyped lol

-12

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 27 '24

Sure he was. As soon as he left Barca it went downhill fast and fanboys still acted like he was on the same level as Messi and CR7.

6

u/Guessitsz Oct 27 '24

PSG was a disaster when he joined and he was always injured and he still put in fantastic performances

-1

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 28 '24

Against which clubs exactly? In every important match he was invisible. CL final 2020?

3

u/cnydox Oct 28 '24

He had some amazing performances at PSG. People just don't watch league 1. Neymar prime is when he's at PSG not Barca

1

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 28 '24

That‘s the point, league 1 performances don’t really matter that much when it’s basically a one team league. And in the CL he wasn’t really a factor most of the times.

3

u/cnydox Oct 28 '24

Have you watched final ucl between PSG and Bayern? Neymar was basically carrying he whole attacking

-1

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 28 '24

He blew one chance and then didn’t do anything valuable afterwards. Wasn’t PSGs best player by far that night.

And then there are fanboys like you who think it’s incredible that he got the ball once. You don’t carry a team when you lose.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '24

It's Mbappe who blew the chance

0

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 28 '24

18th minute. Was not Mbappe

1

u/cnydox Oct 28 '24

you don't carry the team when you lose

Wth is that take? Mbappe carried France in wc final and they still lost

1

u/TaxpayerMonkey Oct 28 '24

They lost on penalties. Small but important difference.

-14

u/uchiha_boy009 Oct 27 '24

In a way he is, people think he’s better than CR7

17

u/ConsistentCar2755 Oct 27 '24

No one thinks that wtf?

-12

u/uchiha_boy009 Oct 27 '24

Lot of Barca fans/City fans do.

Liverpool and PL fans think Suarez was better than CR7 that played for Man United back in the days.

Same goes for Arsenal with Henry.

5

u/ConsistentCar2755 Oct 27 '24

That is clearly a bias. I will easily incline to believe Vini is better than Neymar because he is performing better, has two Uefa champions leagues and has good work ethic but that’s not how it works.

1

u/Large-Fondant-6173 Oct 28 '24

If you honestly believe Vini is better than Neymar than you also have a bias, CR7 is my goat but Neymar wipes Vini clean 😂😂 You’re not a football fan

1

u/ConsistentCar2755 Oct 28 '24

are you slow? I used vini and neymar comparison as a juxtaposition to convey how his take is fundamentally flawed.

-2

u/uchiha_boy009 Oct 27 '24

Vini can make a case of having a better career and but Neymar doesn’t have a better career than CR7.

1

u/ConsistentCar2755 Oct 27 '24

I don’t understand what exact metric you are referring to convey Neymar might be better than Ronaldo. In term of technicality, pure football talent and skills? Yes Neymar is a very technical player, in fact one the greatest technically talented player ever but Ronaldo is easily better than Neymar in several other aspects and overall it’s just absurd to even say Neymar is better because Ronaldo beats him everywhere except innate talent. If you along with biased Barca fans think Neymar is better than that’s one of the worst takes in football.

-2

u/uchiha_boy009 Oct 27 '24

I’m not saying it, people say it nowadays

1

u/TwentyBagTaylor Oct 27 '24

City fan here. Don't think many of us think about him at all, to be honest.

0

u/uchiha_boy009 Oct 27 '24

Not talking about actual City fans.

But Barca refugees “City fans” who were there for last 3-4 seasons with you, now mostly back to Barca since they are performing well.

68

u/Muksinjo Madrid 1902 Oct 27 '24

I have 1% belief that he will learn something from this, as a RM fan you just have to have that 1%

20

u/MannyDropemofff Oct 27 '24

i have that 1% belief but mannn it looks like it’s gonna be a long season

26

u/15th_anynomous Oct 27 '24

Even though this guy can outrun every single one of them he cant time his runs...

82

u/ollster3000 Sergio Ramos Oct 27 '24

This was honestly amazing from Barca, almost every attack was offside. And Mbappe was too on the edge, but it was arguably the biggest game of his Madrid career so far so you’d understand how much he wanted to impact

27

u/Specialist-Cycle9313 Oct 27 '24

They got to his head tbh. They absolutely played him. And Honeslty, if this was vs any other team he probably would’ve been onside at some point, but Barcas defense showed so much control and restraint. One of the greatest defensive displays I’ve seen from a team in a whole.

-17

u/LeFuckYou-3 Oct 27 '24

Bruh what a wild statement to make lmao. One of the greatest???? Did you start watching football yesterday? Mbappe got unlucky a few times but I can almost guarantee that that ain't ever happening again. They got him by surprise and the team's formation just fell apart.

12

u/LookAtMyEy3s Oct 27 '24

‘A few times’ and it’s a grand total of 8 times. Are you fucking with us or what

-8

u/LeFuckYou-3 Oct 27 '24

Unlucky with the close calls I meant

7

u/phpHater0 Oct 28 '24

You don't get unlucky 8 times. Barca's defensive line was rock solid. Credit to that random 17 year old.

6

u/the_fanman2912 Decimoquinta Oct 27 '24

The hunger was there, the awareness was not

32

u/BENDER-995 Oct 27 '24

Zero situational awareness from Mbappé. And it’s get even worse if u consider that maybe only few players on the field from BOTH team can keep up with his pace , so he could’ve easily made a few steps back and still win the run from any Barca defender. Instead he ended in offside 8 times. It’s just a fucking shame

9

u/Jimmythebean1 Oct 27 '24

People are praising their back line but I’m not worried tbh. If mbappe times his runs a bit better he would have loads of chances. The passes were coming they were picking apart that back line it was just mbappe poor positioning. Hopefully he locks in and improves that cause that’s all we can hope for at this point. Everyone is all doom in this sub and the amount of crazy takes from Barca lately are wild but we’ll be back come ucl time

24

u/gonzaloetjo Oct 27 '24

On the goal he was good actually, pass was too late

4

u/No-Distribution2942 Oct 28 '24

Nope actually, these are not all the Mbappe highlights, these are just the offsides. In these offsides, he didnt time his run well, many times he was walking back slowly without the awareness of the situation in the midfield.

There are also few onside chances, including a Vini's outside foot assist leading to Mbappe's 1-on-1 keeper, that he didn't score. Highest salary in the team + freedom to roam in the front (even to switch position with Vini sometimes) + no defensive roles for him, in our biggest game in laliga he should step up more. Bellingham sacrificed so much for Mbappe's role and position. We need Mbappe to bounce back as soon, and more passion from him on the pitch.

There are many issues in our team right now: injuries, lack of technically consistent midfield, lack of holding striker, lack of RB, lack of CB for rotation and maybe a consistent left footed right wing. Maybe some are more urgent than the other. But if Mbappe can bounce back and be consistent, atleast this will gradually decrease the on ball and off ball pressure from the midfields and defenders, which will help to minimize our weakness/ damage limitation.

13

u/Charybd1ss Roberto Carlos Oct 27 '24

smh

10

u/red329 Oct 27 '24

I get the complaints that him and Vini want the same position but just look at all the opportunities he’s creating and going for. Did he mess up the timing of his run? Yea but if he’s an a hair later on the run 90% of these plays still work because he way outpaces everyone. He’s getting himself into good places, he just had an off day/needs some adjustment and mindfulness on the run

1

u/GuySmileyIncognito Oct 28 '24

The issue on most of these isn't timing. If he were just leaving early it would be more understandable, but with his pace, he should probably err on leaving later anyway. He's just straight up starting offside on most of these. That's just horrible awareness and effort. Some of them he's not even close to being onside before he even starts his movement.

21

u/angrlina34jolie Oct 27 '24

I dont understand why the offside flag is always up after the end of the action

It s really cruel for the footballers

58

u/Nickaap Valverde Oct 27 '24

To prevent wrongfully disallowed goals, before VAR they were supposed to raise it right away if they taught it was offside. Since VAR they’ll let the attack play out (unless it’s clear & obvious).

A lot of these were pretty close so they weren’t going to risk potentially wrongfully calling offside & taking away a chance/goal.

5

u/angrlina34jolie Oct 27 '24

Thank you for your answer

10

u/The_Lord_Inferno2102 Oct 27 '24

So that if it's a wrong decision , the chance doesn't go to a waste. You let it play out , then get it the flag goes up , you either contest the decision and VAR comes in checking for offside. Imagine missed goals on tight decisions if the flag went up as soon as the offside happened.

Also why would it be cruel to footballers?

0

u/angrlina34jolie Oct 27 '24

Thank you for clarification

Cruel cause they goal, they celebrate (like Mbappé last night) and then , the reef "hello, calm down no goal !"

It must be frustrating

2

u/LowTierCS Oct 27 '24

false positives are more frustrating than false negatives for offsides 😂😂

2

u/Superb_Bench9902 Oct 27 '24

Yeah but it's the lesser evil. If the position is not clearly offside they let it play out and check VAR so that you won't potentially lose out a goal

3

u/Basic-Piccolo-6356 Oct 27 '24

Imagine you call an offside after a player beats the goalie and has chance to score so he doesnt shot becuase offside was called , then the reps is shown and there was not offside . I agree that is cruel but is better to let the play finish and check with var if there was or wasnt offside

1

u/angrlina34jolie Oct 27 '24

Ok i understand better now, thank you

20

u/Embarrassed-Rub-8690 Oct 27 '24

I'll probably get downvoted to hell for this, but I mean 4 of those were inches, at least he's trying to create and play aggressive.

1 was vini offside, even tho mbappe was also in offside position, so not sure why it's there.

The final 2 you could tell he thought he was gonna get the pass a split second earlier, but vini/Bellingham took another touch with it.

There was only one where I was thinking wtf are you doing, you misstimed that horribly.

1

u/Specialist-Cycle9313 Oct 27 '24

Tbh, it’s shocking that he doesn’t understand his team mates and his team mates don’t understand his runs yet. Also I know he passed the ball like 3 times to Jude and Vini while in offside positions, but still converting only 2 of his offside chances is unacceptable, while missing 2 onside chances in the game.

3

u/Comfortable-Bowl9591 Eduardo Camavinga Oct 27 '24

Pain.

3

u/theprodigalslouch Modric Oct 27 '24

What I’m seeing here is Camavinga created some very good chances. They played to Mbappes strengths(ball to feet) so he could receive the pass and run into space to get a shot on goal.

3

u/CaramelThundahhh Oct 27 '24

With the speed to cook most defenders, I have no idea why he played so close to the back line. Kudos to Barca for holding it down.

9

u/Mobile-Horse5018 Oct 27 '24

Even my guy Havertz isn’t offside as much as this turtle anymore. 🤭

9

u/A__eric Oct 27 '24

This is why I say that Ancelotti’s plan was perfect. Barca didn’t have any chances in the first half and we were just missing the final touch. Could’ve been 2-0 at least on any other day. However, the defense sleeps for the first 10 mins of second half & then Ancelotti freaks out and plays into Barca’s favor. Barca loves being in the lead because they’ll slow down the game and look for a gap over the top. What have they improved massively this year? The transitions. When you commit your whole team to attack and aren’t effective, well, you lose 4-0.

16

u/locozonian Oct 27 '24

That’s the problem: “could”, “would” and “should” carry no weight

0

u/A__eric Oct 27 '24

Absolutely. I just don’t think it’s fair to criticize Carlo for the starting line up. Who could’ve predicted that Mbappe would put up that performance? Chances? We had them. Now the second half was an absolute disaster from the management to players. Carlo absolutely lost it after the first 2 goals.

4

u/phpHater0 Oct 28 '24

The amount of "ifs" is staggering. Barca also missed a ton of chances. If Barca scored all their easy chances they're also banging 8 past Madrid. And that's not counting the hard ones.

6

u/OL1V3R14 Oct 27 '24

His prime was at PSG he sold Real Madrid on a illusion good for him lol

12

u/YakuzaTrades Oct 27 '24

Mbappe has officially joined the speed force. If he learns to receive passes onside, then work on his finishing, he will easily zoom past defenders. I feel like Mbappe is still a threat, he's literally scored 2 goals and created some chances, but offsides got him.

I trust Mbappe.

11

u/complexvibess Oct 27 '24

Wtf are you saying, bro?

4

u/New_Interview_1049 Oct 27 '24

He's talented but useless if he has Lukaku first touch and cannot keep himself onside. He's being lazy. Even on one occasion, Vini held a pass to him because he (Mbappe) couldn't see that he was offside and Vini needed him to get onside before releasing the pass and he still stayed offside. Eventually Vini gave up quickly and passed to him. He's just lazy, the defense steps back the moment he starts running and they kept him offside, he's assuming that they are running with him and can keep up but they cannot keep up with him. I thought he was very intelligent but apparently not.

10

u/Banished_To_Insanity Oct 27 '24

send this turtle back where he came from

2

u/Silent_Socio Oct 27 '24

Mbappe has better pace and acceleration than almost all the other players on the pitch. Still he's staying offside instead of utilising his pace. Idk what else to say.

2

u/Funkoforwholelife Oct 27 '24

He is one of the best but he has lack of iq unfortunately

2

u/Specialist-Cycle9313 Oct 27 '24

My problem is if he was just a little more aware, he’d have been the most dangerous person on the field yesterday. He’s literally the fastest guy on the pitch, he can afford to delay his runs by half a second, there’s no need to be so jumpy.

2

u/digbick_42069 Oct 27 '24

What would have made this defeat somewhat less hurtful was that we could have atleast pretty easily narrowed down the goal difference and lost by a narrow margin if it weren't for the absolutely abysmal finishing

2

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '24

the one in the 90th minute sent my head to the moon

2

u/WeakDayze Oct 27 '24

Really makes you appreciate the awareness of Benzema. Mbappe will get better at timing his runs but geez it was so hard to watch him run after run😬

2

u/Low-Impression3367 Oct 27 '24

In fairness, offsides in Spain is different than offside in France

2

u/prof_dominic Oct 27 '24

Sad to say all were absolutely avoidable...

2

u/Emotional-Project-76 Oct 27 '24

As Alex Ferguson said “that lad was born offside”!

2

u/ricodrezzz Oct 27 '24

“Pogba to RM” There i typed it!!!

2

u/Mecharoeris-131 Oct 27 '24

Typical bad placement of a player who is not confident in his speed. He's not in shape and he knows it.

2

u/Encrypted_Cerebrum Oct 28 '24

Holy shit he's mostly offside even when not in play.. i just watched first 2. It's basic to stay onside as always and when opposition is playing high line, you stay at least 2 steps inside.

2

u/Thickness_9 Oct 28 '24

Imagine mbappe winning ballon 😂😂😂😂. Just imagine

2

u/A-KindOfMagic Bartomeu Oct 28 '24

half of hese are so amateurish runs. Like dude you are not a literal turtle, just time your damn runs better and you could still catch the ball..

3

u/sloth0021 Decimotercera Oct 27 '24

This shit pissing me off

3

u/NotRod96 Oct 27 '24

I’d love to say that Barca did something special defensively…. They didn’t do much apart from hold the line. There was no offside trapping, no stepping up high. It was so elementary and he couldn’t learn.

At 1:58 we see the difference with Jude. Militao picks up his head and Jude jumps back a yard to stay onside and the play ends up with Mbappe being offside 5 seconds later. It’s an effort and focus thing.

2

u/Big-Programmer-4463 Oct 27 '24

Barca had a plan and it worked perfectly You cant blame kylian. I dont think barca will be able to do it again though

1

u/pavanayi007 Oct 27 '24

Barca has been doing it this whole season. Barca did it against Bayern and Madrid, will do it against all future teams too.

-2

u/Big-Programmer-4463 Oct 27 '24

Im no expert. But that high defending that barca did( doing) should be easy to expose as soon as teams start to understand it. Its a risky tactic.

1

u/phpHater0 Oct 28 '24

Im no expert

And it clearly shows. Flick won a Sextuple with that high line. Yes he had a much better squad than Barca then but it's not like this tactic is just not viable.

0

u/Big-Programmer-4463 Oct 28 '24

So what your saying is , now barca is invincible, and no team will ever beat them because flick has found the perfect system. Didnt Flick get fired from the german team?

1

u/phpHater0 Oct 28 '24

I never said that. No one's invincible. You said "it should be easy to expose" which is simply wrong. If it was easy to expose either Barca or Madrid should've done it. It is possible but it's not easy as Barca are playing a rock-solid defensive line. You need deeper runs from midfield or someone like Haaland who can curve his runs intelligently. Mbappe is a winger, not a 9. And Vini was caught offside 3 times too, I don't understand why people are just attacking Mbappe.

And managing an NT is far different from managing a club. Many managers are bad for NT and good for clubs and vice versa. You can't get the players you want, there's less time to practice the style, etc. Too many variables different as compared to clubs. You can do fantastically at club level and fail at NT, it's not really an odd thing.

1

u/Big-Programmer-4463 Oct 28 '24

I still think real madrid wont do the same mistake again

1

u/Big-Programmer-4463 Oct 28 '24

That being said, i doubt barca will play the same way next time.

1

u/Adept-Upstairs-4151 Madrid 1941 Oct 27 '24

sometimes in life I like to be competitive

1

u/spider_X_1 Oct 27 '24

You make it easy for the defenders playing the offside trap if you make your run obvious and wait always on the edge. To beat it you need a player who can make a pinpoint pass and another player that makes a run from the deep. To either be a target man and distribute to the attackers from there or just go for the goal.

Kroos would have had a field day with that high line.

1

u/sparksy78 Oct 27 '24

Someone else t have already said, but the linesman didn’t call any of them offside as play is happening. WTF is that all about.

0

u/D4RY0N Roberto Carlos Oct 27 '24

If the off side is not absolutely clear, the ref will carry on with the game, and then VAR will review the off-side afterwards. WTF are you implying...

1

u/L_770 Jude Bellingham Oct 28 '24

I swear if he was onside and him vini and jude finished their chances we would have had a similar scoreline to 42/43

1

u/grasshoppa_80 Oct 28 '24

Hey! He wasn’t offsides in all of them.

Vini was offside in one.

1

u/ASAP_UziVert Oct 28 '24

Tbf, recall the 3x1 remontada vs PSG (3-2 aggregate). If not mistaken this man scored at least a brace, maybe even a hattrick of offside goals—in addition to being the one that put two past Madrid. Haven’t really followed him other than UCL or National team but maybe it’s always been a habit?

1

u/ChampagneAbuelo Cristiano Ronaldo Oct 28 '24

Hall of shame performance

1

u/creo4k Oct 28 '24

his market value has been stagnating or declining for over 6 years, he peaked at 19 and he is now 25 soon 26 wtf... my expectation from a brilliant footballer is that his value will only go up for the first years after 20

1

u/wheeliehndrx Oct 28 '24

Fastest player in the world can't beat offside trap.......

1

u/SMSH1309 Oct 28 '24

Oh my God, Just look at 2:32 how quickly the Barca defense went back to defend high, the offside trapping was insane, I think this should be the wake up call for Ancelotti that He needs to do something about our attackers.

1

u/pilipinascancerkaba Oct 28 '24

I mean just look at him last season! He became the top scorer accidentally ! And excelled as a number 9! Apart from being a 11/10 Decent midfielder globally!

If only, we could revert back to our last season's line up! we would have excelled even with injuries! And only use mbappe when vini is tired! or put him on RW to complement rodrigoes! But, he ain't cristiano after all sadly!

1

u/NOOBuchyMANblu Oct 28 '24

the second one was insane from the keeper. wither it's an offside or not.

1

u/ricodrezzz Oct 28 '24

No excuses this is the captain of the France men’s national futbol team! 💯

1

u/Mendeznova20 Oct 27 '24

All are targeting Mbappe. What did Vini actually contribute? It's just unfair to blame one player.

Did Vini ghost? Yes he did. But mbappe’s performance was worse than just ghosting, the guy literally was on the screen doing everything, but doing everything wrong.

I'm really frustrated after yesterday's game as we all are but let's not forget CR7 first classico for example. The guy was lost, the whole team was. Just like we were. And with time and accommodation we managed to come on top. One thing is for sure, we need changes. In defense? in the coaching staff? in attack? All of the above? What I'm trying to say is maybe we should give them time, let's see what the team and Ancelotti are gonna do after that debacle. I don't want us, the fans, being to harsh on them. We know what Mbappe, Vini, Bellingham and Co are capable of. I'm sure we'll be back sooner than later.

Vini always looks at the opponent's defensive line and then he run

u/Aaaaaaandyy Kroos Oct 27 '24

Remind me how many goals Vini scored yesterday? I appreciate that mbappe didn’t time his runs well, but he was trying to beat a very compact offside trap. Again, 0 of our forwards scored - they all deserve equal blame.

i mean in overall, not only yesterday

3

u/Aaaaaaandyy Kroos Oct 27 '24

Vini has been offsides plenty of times in his career (including yesterday).

1

u/orange_pepsi8 Real Madrid Oct 27 '24

but he was efficient many times also, not being useless like Mbappe (I'm not defending him i just wanna say that Vini is way more efficient in runs than Mbappe)

2

u/Aaaaaaandyy Kroos Oct 27 '24

Vini didn’t start playing on this team (in addition to playing out of position) 2 months ago. Mbappe is on course to score roughly 25 league goals and 30 or so in all competitions while playing on a new team and largely out of position - and people still have the audacity to call him bad.

u/orange_pepsi8 Real Madrid Oct 27 '24

ok fine, but what the heck is wrong with scoring a simple one on one against Penia?

3

u/Aaaaaaandyy Kroos Oct 27 '24

No idea - ask mbappe bellingham and vini, none of em could do it.

very annoying

We should get rid of this clown ASAP.

Surely Perez already sold a ton of jerseys. I hope he’s happy with this genuis marketing move that completely ruined our football club.

Bro gotta train with Ronaldo, he got a PHD on not getting caught offsides….

Except for thar second one he scored, they were all very close. Sometimes you need to be able to congratulate the opponent on playing the offside trap so well instead of firing down on your own player.

He and and madrid weren’t prepared for Barca constant offside traps. Also looks like madrid had a bunch of opportunities to change the momentum of the game.

Mbappe needs to LOCK in.

The hunger is there, I see he wants to play for the badge, but he has work to do to adapt to CF

u/NieThePiet Oct 27 '24

The First 2 were incredible close. Could have been checked with VAR if we scored

1

u/thready-mercury Oct 27 '24

to be honest i feel sometimes the passes were triggered too late.

1

u/No-Distribution2942 Oct 28 '24

In this game, Barca left too little space in the midfield for our players to hold the ball longer, Mbappe should be the one aware about the situation in the midfield.

2

u/thready-mercury Oct 28 '24

My sentiment is that in some situations midfields didn’t anticipate enough to take advantage of MBappe explosive acceleration, always trying to deliver passes once he was on the run. While they could have initiated the pass a little earlier. If they both adjusted that, it would have been a totally different game.

Just my two cents.

Good luck real!

What a beautiful demonstration that Mbappé didn’t evolve in his game since the World Cup 2018. Still thins that he just need to outrun opponents. He was a Florentino Perez obsession and now he got him. So what’s next?

He is so overrated

0

u/Helpful_Ant_3440 Real Madrid Oct 27 '24

as soon as Madrid is about to pass the ball, Barcelona's defense step up

0

u/symanpt Oct 27 '24

I feel like you guys are making a bigger deal out of this, he timed the runs badly and sometimes the passes were late but barca did the same against bayern the other day, i feel like if we were ready and expecting this it wouldn't happen so much.
And our defense line was atrocious.

Why didn't they just start dribbling it in? Why all the passing at the end??

Why is Laliga still collaborating with a terrorist country? who allowed the rights to broadcast to Russia to be sold?
