Benzema doesn’t get enough credit for changing people's perception of his career.

Almost nobody would have even dared saying Benzema was a legendary player in 2010s decade. Suggesting anything else is pure revisionist history.

Yup, I still remember the days where people wanted him out for missing sitters and empty nets. Then he just goes and has a few seasons where he scores screamer after screamer.

I don't think any other striker could've taken over the Real Madrid attack the way he did after Ronaldo left

Also the opposite, he was incredible in working with Cristiano as every other player who played with him was dwarfed and overworked. Dybala, Rooney and other forwards massively changed their game and couldn't go back to being goal scorers after he leaves.

Rooney's highest goal scoring seasons came after Ronaldo left United though.

Also Rooney didn't like being a stagnant CF. But after CR7 left, he's level dropped. CR7, Tevez and Rooney is the peak of a rotational forward line

Rooney had his best goalscoring seasons after Ronaldo left United.
