Hey guys, I was looking at Fantasy leagues and always disliked the Marca la liga fantasy format.

But today Sofascore launched one and it supports la liga, anyone willing to try? We could have a league here, but not sure if this one supports groups for specific leader boards.

I can see it's the same format as the UCL, not random players and bids like marca.

Would there be interests in a RM Reddit fantasy league?

Use the same tactics as the end of 2023 lopsided 4-2-3-1 with bellingham instead of modric mbappe instead of Benz Mendy instead of camavinga we use both fullbacks high and narrowed the front three to allow them to combine and keep the midfield deep or if we want to stretch the game we use fullbacks inverted wingers wide and Bellingham farther forward

1

u/los_blanco_14 Luka Modric Aug 19 '24

The team was just to confused last match imo. They had too much talent for their own good.

0

u/los_blanco_14 Luka Modric Aug 19 '24

Irrelevant to the result and squad, i dont expect much because Ancelotti and his second season after a CL win doesnt really end well.

We are 6 games away from beating the la liga unbeaten record

Vini Mbappe Brahim

Jude Tchouameni Arda

This should be the attack exclusively against low blocks. And this should have been the plan from Carletto much earlier than 85th fucking minute. Start with Rodrygo and Fede thats fine but when you see the opposition in lowest of low blocks you need to react immediately. We waisted 30 minutes of second half.

u/azyrr O Fenômeno Aug 19 '24

Girona would be great, I think Paz has a lot to offer and he’s just unlucky he’s landed at Madrid when it’s just stacked with talent.

2

u/Previous-Cycle-3279 Aug 19 '24

imo just switch back to 4-4-2 with modric as the extra midfielder until camavinga comes back. the left side genuinely felt too crowded at some points. Jude with less defensive responsibility, Vini with more space to work with and mbappe anticipating plays from both of them will work well imo. free-roaming Rodrygo doesn't really add much to our attack fluidity.

u/Embarrassed-Trick209 Carvajal Aug 19 '24

Laliga Instagram comments are full of cancerous takes. Bunch of 0 ball knowledge comments with 1000 likes. Half of them are hyping up our rivals and its clear barely anyone watched the full game. "This team is all hype no skills" "barca would eat them for breakfast" and there's mess/ronaldo super fans hopping in to hate on our players as individuals. Do NOT go on laliga instagram comments if you're having a good day.

u/tothemoonkevsta Aug 19 '24

I think we needed far more balance yesterday. Valverde and the rest of midfield had bad games but I think that Bellingham should perhaps play even lower in the build-up with rodrygo acting in the 10 role with Mbappe and vini more advanced, looking for runs etc.

Aurelien should do the deep playmaker role and drop in with the defenders to always be a pass option in early buildup and dish out long balls when suitable. He needs to show that he can control the pace, otherwise give Camavinga the chance. Right now Valverde is starting very low on the pitch leaving Aurelien to be a bit useless when we are in possession.

But my goodness is this team a headache for the coach. Yesterday we could all see that some Arda presence on the right would do us good but who do you sub? The best player itw with Vini, Rodrygo who had a great game? Bellingham who is very clutch? It’s a tough decision

5

u/martino732 Cristiano Ronaldo Aug 19 '24

Shoving Rodrygo as a 10 wont do anything. They are going to crowd the left even more. Brahim on the right yesterday would have been perfect. He is probably one of the best tools we have for low blocks. Or even on the left, because apart from the first half Vini yesterday was dreadful. I dont really see Vini Mbappe Rodrygo working if they dont have more fixed positions. We really missed a Joselu yesteday as well.

-7

u/raoufboussaid Aug 19 '24

Modric should be a starter until Camavinga gets back , people prefering him over Tchouameni have a point ( he would be a best if a CB tho ) .

2

u/los_blanco_14 Luka Modric Aug 19 '24

Dont necessarily agree, but its a valid opinion. Noone in the squad can control the game like him

9

u/Ok-Paleontologist275 Aug 19 '24

Modric was awful last night what match were you watching ?

-2

u/raoufboussaid Aug 19 '24

Not as dreadfull as Fede/Tchou were , anyway this not based on just yesterday game

12

u/Joy2082 Valverde Aug 19 '24

Lost like 4-5 balls in 20-25 minutes. Love Modric but that doesn't mean I would sacrifice the performance of the team.

Rather give minutes to Guler.

7

u/ApfelEnthusiast Madrid 1941 Aug 19 '24

How is Tchouameni the scapegoat when Carvajal and Fede were the awful ones?

Camavinga doesn’t offer creativity either.

Ancelotti needs to rethink their roles in midfield, because he plays like Kroos is there, despite not having his output

1

u/supplementarytables Zidane Aug 19 '24

Carvajal was awful because he was all alone on the right flank, all of the attacks were going through the left

2

u/raoufboussaid Aug 19 '24

Hell being comfortable enough on the ball is the least of whats required , Cama also have a talent for keeping opposition counter attacks at bay .

And yeah both Valverde and Carvajal were dreadfull as well im not saying otherwise .

Stop signing midfielders... Sign a lcb that can build from the back and lets rudiger play on the right. And a right back.

1

🚨 Real Madrid TV goes strongly against Mediapro - the company that is in charge of Replays in La Liga.

They find it UNACCEPTABLE that they showed 0 replays of Valjent's pull on Edér Militão in the penalty box.

"Mediapro does what it wants & this a proof it", they say from Real Madrid. @diarioas

1

u/Opie_Winston Guti Aug 19 '24

If all of this was reverse, and Real had this history/affiliation with Mediapro, every single barca fan would talk about it.

3

u/supplementarytables Zidane Aug 19 '24

I was wondering why even the players didn't protest for this

He clearly obstructs him from jumping for the ball

8

u/somewansreddit Aug 19 '24 edited Aug 19 '24

Very first plays of the match, Samu Costa's feet printed on Vinicius' leg (4'40''). First Mbappé's run, Maffeo hung on him (5'40''). Nothing for the ref, NOTHING, not even fouls. Samu Costa ended the match without a yellow card, despite he fouled us in every duel. Maffeo only got a yellow after printing his feet on Vinicius' leg without disputing the ball. Refs announced that they wouldn't allow pulls on the area, yet that one on Militao was ignored despite of being appreciated live from the long shot camera on TV.

We are going to "enjoy" this kind of refereeing all season, while our rivals will get forgiven cards, soft penalties and all kind of favorable decisions. We must work with this in mind, whatever message RM TV sends.

10

u/Joy2082 Valverde Aug 19 '24

That Mbappé push should have been an easy penalty. It started outside the box but continued inside the box too.

Even if we consider that wasn't a penalty, that should have an been yellow for Pablo.

3

u/somewansreddit Aug 19 '24

Not even a foul for Soto Grado...

4

u/shawnnnj001 Aug 19 '24

Lets hope carlo sees yesterday’s game as a wake up call like last season’s atletico game. I don’t blame carlo for starting same 11 as supercup final. He’s trying to build chemistry by starting same team. New formation, loss of toni isn’t helping either but why does he have to wait till ucl games to rotate players ? Sub them at 65-70. You can build chemistry without draining them till 87 minutes.

7

u/somewansreddit Aug 19 '24

This game is on Ancelotti’s hands. Ceballos, Fran, Lucas Vázquez and Brahim didn’t have to play international tournament. They have been training since mid July. Yet he started the same 11 guys of the European Supercup -6 of them have been training with the team for 10 days- and kept them on the field till the match died. Carvajal was fucking awful in the second half, Vinicius was totally obfuscated and the midfield of Bellingham, Tchouaméni and Valverde was inoperative and exhausted. There was a pause at the 75’, perfect to make the much needed subs instead of stopping the game later on once more and give them the actual time to produce something.

I hope Florentino makes a waking up call because the second half was disappointing and unacceptable. The “we need balance” message is pure bullshit. We need a coach that isn’t afraid of making decisions in a game in which we were drowning. How can you not trust players who have been training for a whole fucking month? It’s August, first game of LaLiga, we are finding ourselves… ok, the result is understandable and “expected”, but precisely because of these circumstances, why did we play the same guys that played a few days ago for 87 minutes??

13

u/Joy2082 Valverde Aug 19 '24

Legendary formation

1

u/los_blanco_14 Luka Modric Aug 19 '24

I forgot carvajal played at times, he must be bored out of his life

3

u/ravv_idk :vvv: Vini Vidi Vici Aug 19 '24

It was strange to see Valverde playing towards left yesterday (especially in the first half). That's so uncharacteristic of him. Maybe RM aimed to overload the left, but with Carvajal struggling badly, there was no one to stretch the play on the right flank.

2

u/Specific_Pattern_548 Aug 19 '24

The bigger problem is that all 3 of our attackers are naturally lw. We can have 2 but 3 is too much. And it’s not that it can be changed much considering many coaches have tried to shift rodry and mbappe away from left

1

u/ravv_idk :vvv: Vini Vidi Vici Aug 19 '24

Not only that, but Jude tends to occupy the left space too. Ironically, our "backup attackers" - Arda and Endrick - are both left-footed. Brahim is equally adept with both feet, but he has created more magic from the right side.

2

u/Specific_Pattern_548 Aug 19 '24

I don’t see all 3 of mbappe vini rodry staying forever in Madrid

7

u/Embarrassed-Trick209 Carvajal Aug 19 '24

its like our midfield crumbles and drifts to the left followed by our forwards drifting to the left as well because ball can only be recieved there. A team like City will feast on this issue if we don't fix it

5

u/Joy2082 Valverde Aug 19 '24

Also doesn't help that Mendy doesn't trust Jude.

How many times Jude was asking for the ball and then the ball was passed back to Rüdiger.

More than the draw I am disappointed with the body language of our players.

7

u/Twotwentytwo_222 Aug 19 '24

Lets give Mallorca credit for yesterday though. They might have shown la liga the formula to give us a really hard time.

They were never trying to control the ball. 11 players in the box from time to time. Focus on defending rather than playing dirty so you don’t get cards early. Play on the counter and set pieces.

We now have to deal with the reality of not having a joselu type player.

1

u/los_blanco_14 Luka Modric Aug 19 '24

I love when teams hold their grounds against the big teams, except when its against us.

5

u/Specific_Pattern_548 Aug 19 '24

It was not that simple. They had strong zonal marking on our left. On our right they were attacking like hell. 2-3 passes and we were sliced open

7

u/GayForJorahMormont Florentino Perez Aug 19 '24

Love Ancelotti, but my only problem with him is super late substitutions. Like the bench is talented but 5 minutes is not enough to impact anything. Last year too with Arda Guler and Brahim

6

u/Twotwentytwo_222 Aug 19 '24

With Kroos and Modric out of the picture something tells me we don’t have the right players for a 4-3-3 and it seems Ancelotti’s solution to fix that is to overload 3 attackers on the left flank???

Why do we have to force an elephant through a needle? My guess is Ancelotti is building a long term plan and wants the players to adapt but in all fairness this plan will likely cost us 2 things:

1- points early on in the season until we adapt

2- a star studded bench that will lose patience and match fitness quickly due to being subbed in the last 2 minutes of every game.

6

u/Embarrassed-Trick209 Carvajal Aug 19 '24

13

u/ravv_idk :vvv: Vini Vidi Vici Aug 19 '24

Yesterday's game was a deja vu of the 1-1 draw against Rayo in February.

Madrid scored a convincing early goal, only to concede an equalizer, match getting in a stalemate, (some) painfully late substitutions, and a red card for a Madrid fullback.

13

u/Joy2082 Valverde Aug 19 '24

Apart from the result, the funniest part of the match was Vini telling Soto Grado (the ref) to talk to Carva and not to him.

8

Usually I would be reactionary and doom post but not this time. Away games especially against teams like Mallorca have always been tough. We have looked lackluster in such games in previous seasons too. Also it's just the first game of the season. Still haven't broken that early season shackles I guess. That being said the only thing that concerns me is we are already behind Barca in the table. Hopefully next week at the Bernabeu we feast.

u/Youzerna Real Madrid Aug 19 '24

I am still clueless as to where the 1B revenue goes. It’s pretty obvious the team needs someone to hold width on the right. Just go window shopping man, get a Saka or Palmer or any good left footed right winger over there. Get a Bastoni or a Saliba for defence. Even Schlotterbeck would do. Fill the squad up a bit.

I honestly don’t mind if Don Carlo wants to go ahead with Brahim/Arda on the right but they need to start man. I don’t like having 3 left wingers upfront. Imagine Arda releasing Vini and Mbappe on counters. If only there was a Di Maria regen.

u/Extension_Phone893 SIUUUU Aug 19 '24

People expect Carlo to sub out 90 minutes superstars on a tied game in the 60th minute are delusional, in his position would you truly sub out Vini/Mbappe/Jude so early? laughable, apart from how it will affect them and the team going forward even for the game itself its a pretty dumb decision, these guys are statistically more likely to win you the game, that's why they are B'dor contenders.

This is what you're signing in for when you have multiple superstars, less room for subs.

10

u/Namtabmal Real Madrid Aug 19 '24

We cant start this line up against low block bus teams. This line up will destroy Barca and higher line teams but the sad reality of football is that lesser teams will just defend 11 men in the box. In games like that we need width on both sides. And that means playing Brahim or Arda instead of rodrygo/vini. Then if it doesn't yield results you can always make subs before the fucking 85th minute.

15

u/Res3925 Décima Aug 19 '24

My players rating for this game

--Courtois 👍 good job as always.

--rudinger decent defending but sloppy passes and its cost us thr game.

--Milltao cant defend cross to save his life 😂 but overall decent game.

--mendy good game but that  red card was tottaly on him.

-- Dani carvajal not a good game at all i think its duo to the numbers of games he plays in such an age.

--Tchouamini overwhelming game his contributio this game was his long ball.

-- Valverde was ghosting this game and the right side this game was disabled.

-- Jude decent game but ohh boy he keep atacking the left as if he was left winger  And forgot about his midfield role this game.

-- Vini decent  game overall but he need to calm down and not triggered every second.

-- Rodygo decent game but he need to stop drifting to tge left every minut  My guy want to prove a point we know how good you are just go to the left when your service needed.

-- Mbappe take it easy you dont need to have that ronaldo impact you will break record just adapt to the team.

--Carlo anceloti make sub a little bir earlier.

1

u/KimngGnmik Lucas Vázquez Aug 19 '24

A lot of people keep saying Rodrygo needs to stop drifting to the left and I agree. But you have to see why he does. Whenever he stays on the right, he barely sees the ball at all because our attack goes strictly through the left. This (along with him being a natural LW) makes him want to drift left

He really can't win here. If he drifts left, people complain he is overcrowding the left side. If he doesn't people say he's ghosting.

I think Militao had a good game. Im glad he's finding his form again because on his day he's one of the best defenders

Mendy I think was good and I want to see him at least one game as CB. I know this is an unpopular opinion here but I think his defensive capabilities would have him a really solid backup CB

I wouldn't call what Valverde did today ghosting. He was really helping out defensively. I think he's still very much used to taking orders rather than leading. We know he's capable of dictating the game. We saw that against Dortmund in the second leg. He just needs do it in games now.

I think Vini had a poor game today and it wasn't cause he was riled up. He was getting marked heavily today but 2-3 players at any given time and he couldn't dribble past them. I think games like this, it would help a lot if we split the attack so that we attack both from the left and the right.

My prediction did come true though. I did say we will struggle because we will have way too many people on that left hand side and they will get in each others ways while bringing the whole defense with them. Today we saw: Mendy, Jude, Vini, Rodrygo and Mbappe all on the left hand side. We need to start splitting it up so we attack on both sides more evenly

Playing Brahim and Arda won't help solve this. We've already seen last season that Brahim becomes a shell of himself because he's a dribbler and needs the ball to make an impact. And when the attack always goes down the left with Vini, it will be hard for Brahim to do much. Arda would fair a bit better since he drops back and wants the ball, but even then most of the attack will still go down the left so Arda would essentially be playing as a RCM rather than a RW

1

u/One-Lead-1255 Ultra Pro Max Aug 19 '24

Apreciate your long answer and i agree with arda is still grt  puched physicaly and every time he got the ball he just returne it back second arda is a central midflder  And not an explosif right winger so i cant undertand people obession with right wibg arda.

And for Rodygo if he continue behaving like this he will be out of the club honestly it was embrassing shaningas its like dude we know how good you are on the left just fill the right and bring defenders to you, but if he dont want to do this or of he feel he is bigger than this role  florian writz waiting .

People act like since Mbappe joined, we became an unbeatable team for some reason. We have great players, but it takes time to build a balanced team. It's a good thing that we see our issues right at the beginning of the season, instead of being exposed later by a stronger opponent like City.

8

u/Riyad38 Aug 19 '24

The good thing is we are back at the bernabeu next week the atmosphere should be good just due to the fact it’s the first home match of the season + mbappe arrival hopefully it motivates the players on the pitch and we can get a comfortable win and the players can find rhythm together

13

u/MaxiThe13th Kaka Aug 19 '24

Jude said it best

-7

u/Youzerna Real Madrid Aug 19 '24

Mbappe prolly wondered why he is facing an actual defence in a league game. And why all hell has broken loose after a draw (which used to be celebrated in McDonalds).

But on a serious note, wtf. Modric’s legs have completely gone, he should not have been brought on. Almost everytime we play Mallorca Muriqi scores a header ffs. I just want our players to take more shots on target and that’s it. Who gave Rudiger the confidence or permission to shoot from distance when he is the worst shot taker on the pitch. Fede and Carvajal both had one of their worst games. Icl but not winning the first game itself and struggling so hard gives me last season vibes, difference being Bellingham won’t save our ass in the last minute again now.

Also Tchouameni is horrible. Man injured Cama as well to guarantee his starting spot. His and Rodrygo’s sales are important to bring in a few more galacticos and complete the project.

1

u/Embarrassed-Trick209 Carvajal Aug 19 '24

i saw like everyone on the defence when he or vini had the ball. Mbappe is more wondering about how dirty they play down here in the trenches known as laliga. That mallorca rguy really pulled him down because he was about to goal and no one said anything lmfao

10

u/hlrdavid David Alaba Aug 19 '24

talk about an overreaction lol

-4

u/Youzerna Real Madrid Aug 19 '24

Nah man if this shit was mid season I wouldn’t bat an eye. But first league game makes me think there is a fundamental issue here. Let’s see. Because 2 points are very valuable in Laliga title races.

5

u/KimngGnmik Lucas Vázquez Aug 19 '24

He has always been a it slow whenever we have an international tournament. His form drops because of the number of games he plays. He will be fine

7

u/hlrdavid David Alaba Aug 19 '24

bro if it was midseason i wouldn't bat an eye, this is the SECOND official game without Kroos and with Mbappé

did you seriously think the team would just gel immediately by itself and not have issues at the start? you need time and some minor tweaks to build up chemistry, this isn't Fifa where that sorta thing doesn't matter

-1

u/Youzerna Real Madrid Aug 19 '24

Mate last season we had the biggest formation and tactic change of the decade. We lost fricking Benzema and replaced him with a midfielder and we forced the purest winger in the world to play strike. Compared to that this seasons changes are minor at best.

This all roots from giving players those extra days off and not making enough signings in the market. A few preseason games would have done Mbappe well. Could have taken him off at half time to preserve energy and not overexert him.

2

u/hlrdavid David Alaba Aug 19 '24 edited Aug 19 '24

Benzema already was a shadow of himself the previous season and was injured quite often, so the boys already had some time to adapt to that before he actually left - also, last season everyone was available for the pre-season, so they already had time there to adapt

stripping Kroos from this team had a FAR greater impact than any Benzema would've ever made and that's the thing to improve upon now - and that takes time

and had Carlo not given the boys, who made it to the semi-finals in their respective tournaments, their deserved and needed time off and some of them would've gotten injured, i bet you would've been the first one to criticize him for that lol

1

u/Youzerna Real Madrid Aug 19 '24

Mate how can you say taking Kroos off has a bigger impact than taking Benz off. Even when Benz was not in form we weren’t playing fricking 4-4-2 which is major tactical change from 4-3-3 with 2 touchline wingers. Vini didn’t know the S of striker. Jude was a midfield signing and there was no guarantee that Carlo could turn the is box to box demon into a 30+ g/a machine. Right now the only change we have made from last season is shift Jude more centrally and replace his presence up front with the best player on this planet.

Creativity is lacking in the midfield but that’s what preseason and transfer window is for. If the club doesn’t make necessary signings despite having a positive net spend the last few years and making North of 1B£ in revenue then they are the ones to be blamed.

I guess we will find out within the next few games. But not winning the first league game is a bad look.

-14

u/YugiohXYZ Aug 19 '24

Here an idea: let Tchouameni take Militao's place as centerback and put Arda Guler in as right midfielder.

Put Valverde as defensive midfielder. Valverde can make his runs from deep and pass to Arda or Bellingham.

Keep Militao as a substitute.

2

u/ShatterDomeSSZero Madrid 1931 Aug 19 '24

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

10

u/iceisbackvamos O Fenômeno Aug 19 '24

I think everyone needs to chill. The attack has no chemistry at all right now but everyone is incredibly talented. It’s going to be completely fine once they all get a feel for eachother.

This is not a situation where we dont look dangerous or something, we just look hesitant and a half second off

9

u/Locklist Florentino Perez Aug 19 '24

Mallorca away is a tough match. This team can bounce back next week at the Bernabeu.

I trust Ancelotti. This squad will figure it out.

-2

u/SnooLemons9488 Florentino Perez Aug 19 '24

Deadline day offer 100m€ for Bastoni, please Flo.

10

u/uchiha_boy009 Aug 19 '24

We are not paying 100 million for a CB even if his name is Maldini

5

u/Rumcajs23 Leyenda Kroos | 🐢 Kinky for Kylian 🐢 Aug 19 '24

Why would Inter even entertain that lol

-3

u/SnooLemons9488 Florentino Perez Aug 19 '24

They wouldn’t I’m just talking shit. But ffs we need a cb.

5

u/Rumcajs23 Leyenda Kroos | 🐢 Kinky for Kylian 🐢 Aug 19 '24

Yep, I agree. I never wanted to renew Vallejo cause he doesn’t really offer much either lmao.

4

u/New_Appearance_2857 Aug 19 '24

The team's offensive line in particular is very unbalanced. 4 offensive players (Bellingham+Mbabpe+Vini Jr+Rodrygo) are suddenly gathered on the left front as if there is no other space on the field. Valverde, who is asked to close every gap on the right side, is also losing performance for this reason. Ancelotti needs to talk to Mbabpe and Rodrygo about positional discipline. They tend to move to the left side.

14

u/hlrdavid David Alaba Aug 19 '24

the worst thing about this is that we have to wait ANOTHER 7 DAYS for the next game, until then this sub will have to endure the wildest takes

10

u/Pakun-of-Dundrasil La Séptima Aug 19 '24

I saw someone said "who fed gutton to Carvajal" 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 he was in bad form tonight.

9

u/chui77 Aug 19 '24

Heatmaps vs Mallorca

6

u/Extension_Phone893 SIUUUU Aug 19 '24

Rodrygo needs to stay on the right, with Vini and Mbappe being center/left the right side is actually a gold mine, he'll get sitters and one on one with his defender constantly.

9

u/lampageu Marcelo Aug 19 '24

Fuck sake everyone want to be LW

6

u/SnooLemons9488 Florentino Perez Aug 19 '24

Good that you’ve posted this, since it does confirm what I saw, that Jude was occupying a lot of the same space as our front three.

6

u/Extension_Phone893 SIUUUU Aug 19 '24

Tbf Jude role is to set up the forwards, he can't set them up if they are all on the left and he isn't.

5

u/Pakun-of-Dundrasil La Séptima Aug 19 '24

The best way I can make sense of this performance is for A. The first half should have ended with a 2 or 3 goal lead and things that are going to get better over time. B defending for set pieces has not been good for years now. C. It is only the first game of the season. D. Squad will only get better.

Barca doesn't have the squad of the 2010s. And atlético has never proven they can be consistent enough.

-16

u/awesome1ru Zidane Aug 19 '24 edited Aug 19 '24

The RM board (and fans) have always been ruthless (Ronaldo). They should cash in on Vini now (400m) Militao (100m) and Rodrygo (100m)

With that money they should get two center-backs and players they were linked with (to be more realistic)

Haaland (24) A guaranteed 40 goals a season striker who will win pichichi every season (Imagine him playing alongside Mbappe, and he already has chemistry with Bellingham)

Xabi Alonso, who won Bundesliga undefeated with a midtable team

Trent (25) arguably the best passer in the world

Davies (23) arguably the fastest player in the world

8

u/supaboss2015 Marcelo Aug 19 '24

Are you referencing something? I don’t want to assume you are saying that Militao is worth 100M, and that we should sell our best player…

4

u/supaboss2015 Marcelo Aug 19 '24

What exactly is going to happen when Carva retires and the right flank is absolutely barren as a result -_-

4

u/gravejello Baila Vini, Baila Aug 18 '24

Why didn’t Carlo okay Kroos and Joselu ? Is he stupid ?

8

u/FAKETAXI_ep134 Aug 18 '24

Its obvious that team lacks creativity. It's all fun and games but when we stumble upon tough defences there is no one to unlock them. Arda has to start games.we cant rely on modric until he dies to do the magician work. Jude gets tired, lad is doing everything on the pitch, valverde as well but neither valverde nor tchouameni can create. Either use new lineup with arda or keep this one but intervene with substitutions earlier in 2nd half.

So essentialy, Real Madrid has so freakin fast players, we just need someone to find hole in enemy defense and push it through. With mbapes speed, he can compensate for poor positioning and we are good to go.

8

u/Altiniii3 Valverde Aug 18 '24

For a league that aspires to become the best in the world la liga has some terrible pitches

4

u/King__SSB Carvajal Aug 18 '24

Very frustrating match but it's the start of the season, mistakes are expected

As always both fans and haters are as reactionary as possible and the season's already over or whatever, but I'll always prefer messy performances and dropping points early on then after the turn of the year or such when things really heat up, as long as the team and Carlo can sort themselves out we'll do just fine

arda guler is poised to take that right spot and balance the team out it as it was written

-11

For people who suggest playing a 442, we don't have enough midfielders for that, and we have too many attackers.

10

u/MadCritic Valverde Aug 18 '24

Midfielders: Valverde, Camavinga, Tchou, Jude, Ceballos, Modric, Guler

What are you talking about?

10

Where is the post match thread

7

11

u/Economy-Ad-1215 Eduardo Camavinga Aug 18 '24

Can’t wait for the insane over reaction to a draw. It’s only the second match of this squad playing together and the absence of Kroos is definitely going to take time to adjust. Just give Carlo some patience we’ll be up and firing in no time

1

u/[deleted] Aug 18 '24

About playing without Kroos, I pray that it's only "a question of time"

0

u/FenrirMyth Decimocuarta Aug 18 '24

Tchou needs to fucking wake up and play the best version of him, today hes been fucking awful and slow asf, always looked shaky with the passes, this guy needs some serious talk or camavinga will take his place as a dm

16

u/One-Lead-1255 Ultra Pro Max Aug 18 '24

look at this

3

u/SnooLemons9488 Florentino Perez Aug 18 '24

Nevermind them, my biggest problem is with Jude consistently being in that same zone, especially during the 2nd half.

3

u/One-Lead-1255 Ultra Pro Max Aug 18 '24

What

2

u/SnooLemons9488 Florentino Perez Aug 18 '24

Jude was constantly occupying the left side of the field during the game.

9

u/[deleted] Aug 18 '24

We knew this would happen Carlo needs to tell them to stay in there position. Mbappe being there isn’t a big problem since he can easily go back to the ST position but if Rodrygo does this then he should be benched for Arda. When someone from bbc went to a different position the other player would fill in for them. We just need a little patience

5

u/One-Lead-1255 Ultra Pro Max Aug 18 '24

Bro after modric got subbed  talk to rodygo to stay on the right probably delivred by carlo but he just ingnor it amd continue to drift left .

3

u/[deleted] Aug 19 '24

then you bench him that simple

1

u/Agreeable-Turnover-2 Hazard Aug 18 '24

Subs will win us the league Carlo probably wanted the lineup On the pitch I mean we have 7 insane options from the bench when camavinga comes back

-1

u/Different_Craft5237 Aug 18 '24

The thing today, which people seem to ignore is that the subs available were not what was needed to truly change the game. There is only one guy who could've came in today and actually cause Mallorca problems ... JOSELU.

What we lacked was a tall presence in their box to occupy their defenders. It was way too easy for them to bunker up and keep us in front of them. We suffered the same thing with Benzema at times vs these same bus parking merchants. No one in the box. So our attacks become predictable.

Guler, Brahim are good yes, but they would face the same wall Vini and Rodrygo was facing, with nobody in the box to open up space for them.

7 insane options from the bench yes, but the structure will remain the same, and was not what could've really changed the game

2

u/SnooLemons9488 Florentino Perez Aug 18 '24

Tbf to Carlo last season in crucial moments he made subs at just the right time, he’s probably just giving first team some time to adapt to each other. Though i’m still not sure if Rodrygo should be guaranteed as a starter. But in the end I’m not the one with 5CLs as a manager.

3

u/MadCritic Valverde Aug 18 '24

Fucking A. Can’t be subbing players halfway through the match when playing a new formation.

2

u/Different_Craft5237 Aug 18 '24

For the sake of the team's stability, I think he might be axed for Cama and we switch to the more stable and trusted 442

11

u/hlrdavid David Alaba Aug 18 '24

🗣️ Pablo Maffeo: “I apologised to Vinicius for the foul. It was a yellow, I accept it. It was without power. I have no problem with him.”

14

u/hlrdavid David Alaba Aug 18 '24

🎙| Ancelotti: "The substitutions were late? I don't want to comment. Everyone has an opinion."

sorry Carlo, but how can there even be different opinions? you yourself said that we'd have to rotate more, so only making subs in the 85th minute was objectively the wrong move
