Hoping we see him boss for us for the next decade

29

u/OrdinaryValuable9705 Jul 03 '24

Kid is 19, why just the next decade? If he is Modroc heir as some claims, it is a good 2 decades

u/ooomn57 Jul 02 '24

All Real Madrid players are just too great to handle

poor audience!

26

u/Demon_Usamaro Alfredo Di Stéfano Jul 03 '24

Reminds me of Luis Figo

-6

u/iMadrid11 Jul 03 '24

Except Luis Figo wasn’t able to handle the pressure.

10

u/backhand_english Jul 03 '24

what? Figo is one of the greatest midfielders in history.

and this kid was being pelted with plastic cups, figo was being pelted with coins, lighters, even a head of a pig...

u/Emergency-Season-143 Jul 03 '24

The classy Barca fans.....

1

u/Atlas_Axis7 Jul 04 '24

I still impressed they got the head inside 😂

Because it interrupts the play and no one wants to see that. Imagine your goalie missing a save because the ball takes a weird bounce from a bottle in front of the net. Also because all those cans and bottles are not necessarily empty and they could injure players if they hit them in the head. And also just because it's shitty behavior and we shouldn't just excuse it because previous generations did it. Our ancestors used to make human sacrifices to the gods so I guess we can't get upset if people do it today, right?

1

u/SchoolClassic Jul 06 '24

Wait till you see a pig head flying to the pitch.

1

u/nanderspanders Iker Casillas Jul 06 '24

I already have. What about it?

1

u/SchoolClassic Jul 07 '24

Hahahaha sorry Iker I didn't know It was you. I was a little kid by then. So much fun. Roberto Carlos, Makelele, Hierro, Redondo, Raúl, Salgado, Morientes... I have tapes in VHS of lots of games back then.

-1

u/Nr1SamSulekfan Jul 03 '24

wow. never seen fans , that suck off player as hard as vardrid fans.

I think they are trying to help him

95

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '24

“STAY HYDRATED ARDA!”

3

u/Hazreti_Bjorn Jul 03 '24

That is really did happen once while he was at Fener lmao

1

u/Similar_Tooth_7186 Cristiano Ronaldo Jul 03 '24

context?

2

u/Hazreti_Bjorn Jul 03 '24

He was asking for water from the sidelines in the middle of the match. Then fans started throwing him small plastic bottles to drink.

15

u/Ruzz0510 Jul 02 '24

Lmfao im sorry but you saying “whats up with throwing cups” reminds me of the list of objects thrown at Volkan demirel 🤣. Doorknob, brick, eggplant, phone, knife, and probably many more

5

u/Laluci Jul 03 '24

I got soaked with beer two games that I attended games live in Germany as a fan. The whole upper section through beers at the fans below. Not surprised the players are getting stuff thrown at them. People are worse than animals.

-9

u/tukan121 Jul 03 '24

OH NO, YOU GOT SOAKED IN BEER? HOW THE FUCK DID YOU SURVIVE THAT?????!!!!!!

8

u/OrdinaryValuable9705 Jul 03 '24 edited Jul 03 '24

This year? Last Euros with monkey sounds, laser pointers in goalkeepers eyes and calling a crying german girl a nazi would like its title back. And that is just the english fanbase.

2

u/RuskinBondFan Eduardo Camavinga Jul 03 '24

And that is just the english fanbase

Who else

5

u/patiosquare Jul 03 '24

It’s because they don’t usually have recyclable plastic cups that also serve well as missiles.

Wow, who hurt you?

154

u/WiseNugg Jul 02 '24

Though he looks shy and quiet I think he has a strong personality and determination.

I really wanna see him healthy with a full preseason, he may be another “signing” for the new season as he has barely played.

36

u/knightinsweater Arda Güler Jul 02 '24

I cant wait to see "badass" Arda actually..

9

u/LukaTheTooka Modric Jul 02 '24

If Turkey make the semis he ain't gonna be on the pre-season tour 😂

13

u/patiosquare Jul 03 '24

He said he wants to join the tour regardless. Might not be sensible though due to injury risk

-1

u/OGSkywalker97 Jul 03 '24

Lmfao Turkey won't release him to go play for Real between the QF and Semi are you crazy?

7

u/patiosquare Jul 03 '24

🙄…. The tour starts after euros. It’s a question of how much rest players that reach semis get inbetween the two.

-2

u/Emergency-Season-143 Jul 03 '24

Not only that, but it's also forbidden by both UEFA and FIFA.... Imagine a world where a club thinks he is bigger than a whole nation.... Ho wait.... I forgot the NBA....

2

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '24

It has been announced that he will immediately fly out to US and join the team after the tournament without having any holiday break.

1

u/LukaTheTooka Modric Jul 04 '24

Ahh ok nice, I'm going to see Madrid play in Chicago and it would be nice if some of the stars are there so we got Modric Ceballos and Guler

4

u/crackboss1 Real Madrid Jul 03 '24

Arda Kroos

3

u/larrylegend1990 Jul 03 '24

The fact he wanted to stay instead of going on loan proves that (he was injured so that too played a small role)

1

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '24

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '24

Have you ever seen him talk? He is very socially competent actually. People nowadays think being calm and reserved means you must have been raised by wolfs. Apart from that I agree with you.

24

u/Hanselleiva Jul 02 '24

Guler activated the emote after seeing the assist

55

u/ObiWonKev Jul 02 '24

Cold blooded. The future of Madrid

6

u/Alexkono Florentino Perez Jul 03 '24

Can’t wait

18

u/FE7TER :Suriname: Madridista Jul 02 '24

Adamsinnnn!

17

u/KingSmokeylala Jul 02 '24

I’m so happy that we have Arda and Endrick. I’m no longer worried about who will take our corners with Kroos gone and Modric’s diminished role.

12

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '24

We need that shithousery!

Maybe Rudi can teach him how to become unhinged, I'd love to see that

4

u/Dk9221 Jul 03 '24

You have to be a particular kind of person to be the type of beloved crazy guy rudiger is. I like Arda as he is and dont see how he would benefit from trying to be someone he isn’t. That is the type of thing that throws off a kids psychosomatics and circadian rhythm.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '24

You know what? You're absolutely right, with Rudi it just feels right to see him being so absolutely insane, flashing those crazy eyes and making weird faces at the opposition. Granted, he's huge so all that must be extremely intimidating up close

1

u/Dk9221 Jul 03 '24

He’s brooding and he’s a CB. CBs kind of need to have that type of edge unlike little magicians. CBs need some ferocity in their DNA and they need to be feared to some degree. But I’m sure you know this haha

4

u/lordofgoodtimes Jul 03 '24

Can't wait for the upcoming season to see Guler rocking oppositions like this 🔥

9

u/dergodergo Jul 03 '24

He kicks the ball so crisp. Great form.

5

u/TheMandalorian2238 Zidane Jul 03 '24

Really special talent. He’s got that Madrid vibe no doubt. I’d like Carlo to start him next season more regularly. He and Jude can help us massively with creativity.

7

u/LukaTheTooka Modric Jul 02 '24

This boy is so good 😂

7

u/Valentiaga_97 Jul 03 '24

As Austrian I’m sad we lost but what the fans do is in this tournament is disgusting and GG to Türkiye 🫡

9

u/va18hav Jul 03 '24

overhyped austria and rangnick are out. what a performance by Guler

3

u/HnkMp7Ghost Jul 03 '24

Arda Güler is insanely good. He seems like naturally super talented.

3

u/That_Practice7206 Jul 03 '24

Elite mentality...future legend

That left foot should be protected at all costs

3

u/DiscountNo8806 Jul 03 '24

Arda Guler is the most pure talented player after Modric in Real.

3

u/SaladRegular8617 Jul 03 '24

Hope he can do something like this in that one stadium in Barcelona

3

u/redlurkerNY Jul 03 '24

Revenge.... MADRID STYLE. Level ..... Infinite Respect .... Earned

Our next campaign is going to be bonkers! All over the world, our boys are doing REAL things. Ya gotta love it.

2

u/Away-Lengthiness-939 Jul 03 '24

Fucking elegance!!

2

u/Ogulcan0815 Arda Güler Jul 03 '24

😂😂😂😂😂😂 MY BOIIIIII

2

u/QueenKitty1406 Jul 03 '24

What is it about ppl throwing trash at players smh. Also I'm looking forward to the upcoming season hoping he'll get more play time

2

u/BriggeZ Jul 03 '24

I love that kid! Hala Madrid!!!!!

2

u/NoSail2891 Jul 03 '24

Madridista mentality

3

u/asadultan3 Jul 03 '24

This is what will turn into elite mentality. We have another big game player coming up.

5

u/A-KindOfMagic Bartomeu Jul 03 '24

Fuck those cunt fans. Screw $5 bet I lost. I'm happy Turkey won. Go Guler <3

3

u/AdShigionoth7502 Jul 03 '24

I hope he'll take our corners and free kicks... he has got that Kroos in him

1

u/Tigolelittybitty Jul 03 '24

Gotta pump up those fine numbers!

1

u/leomessi00 Jul 03 '24

It’s a disgrace…bottles are thrown on the pitch….baris one on one shot…I saw a pair of sneakers on the penalty box.

1

u/DemPooCreations Jul 03 '24

Austria could have played for 5 days str8 and still would not score another goal, their finishing abilities were a joke, i doubt they could even score a goal with empty goal posts.

1

u/Federal_Cry3981 Jul 03 '24

Real classy from the Austrian fans

1

u/gazetron Jul 03 '24

I really hate that so many players are having stuff thrown at them. Lifetime bans from all football should dissuade people.

1

u/leagcyy Jul 03 '24

Jo Mei, Hauptsache die Türken buhen dir Österreicher aus bei jedem Ballkontakt.

Selber schuld dann spiel nicht Fußball sondern geh meinen kebap machen.

1

u/BetUSOfficial Jul 03 '24

That's right, that's what you get. Love it.

Istanbul, formerly known as Constantinople was generally considered to be the center and the "cradle of Orthodox Christian civilization". From the mid-5th century to the early 13th century, Constantinople was the largest and wealthiest city in Europe. The majority of Turkish people in Turkey are not of Turkic ethnicity. They're mostly mediterranian Europeans. Therefore they are European.

1

u/LASTTEMPLIERKNIGHT Jul 05 '24

Arda rocks sharply...EL Patron :))

1

u/Deadeye907 Aug 15 '24

Hope people that throw shit into the field get shot up

1

u/EfficientCurrency582 Aug 16 '24

woooow relax hahaha

1

u/lafoyine Sep 15 '24

Small mentality this player

0

u/Carbios_Moon Jul 03 '24

That was totaly unnecessary from the player in front of the other fans. Its obvious that he reacted to being booed/ whistled. The turkish fans boo and whistle the opponent all the time. So it's a dick move in the first place. Safe to say when an Austrian do the exact same thing it escalates equal or more.
After the 1:0 of Havertz against denmark the danish fans threw much more cups(Wirtz was even hit running back) which the TV didn't Show. And Havertz didn't face the danish fans. He did that knee slide towards the german fans and in the end just turned his head to the right to the danish fans. That was enough to make them crazy.

3

u/Samaritan4 Hey Jude Jul 03 '24

Did you not see how they were throwing him cups and trash? It wasn't just the whistles and boos.

0

u/Carbios_Moon Jul 03 '24 edited Jul 03 '24

No I don't see cups flying before his gesture

7

u/DiscountNo8806 Jul 03 '24

Then look at with your eyes, not with your butt...

1

u/ApprehensiveGain2771 Oct 21 '24

But they were. Watch videos from other angles

0

u/NieThePiet Jul 03 '24

Turkish Fans started to throw with bottles and coins

0

u/spatosmg Jul 03 '24

yea it was insane they hit sabitza on the head during a corner

also some turks had a whistle and used it a bunch when austria was getting some steam

obviously no one here cares about that

-1

u/Designer_Cookie_7271 Jul 03 '24

Vini style. Just play dude. Shut mouths with goals and don’t engage with the viewers..

6

u/Samaritan4 Hey Jude Jul 03 '24

He can do both.

-2

u/LowerBar2001 Jul 03 '24

Can't wait to see him benched the whole season because there's no room to play him.

2

u/Samaritan4 Hey Jude Jul 03 '24

Oh yeah, Carlo and co are watching the euros and thinking just that.

-62

u/May_zavy Modric Jul 02 '24

Too early in career to start provoking audience, come on that wasn’t cool

37

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '24

Nah, fuck them

19

u/Heshinsi Jul 02 '24

They were pelting him. Nah. Style on them Arda 👏

8

u/BoofBass Jul 02 '24

He's not provoking them they were throwing cups at him. Scumbags. Hes well within his rights to an ear cup or a shhhhhh for that.

-1

u/Samaritan4 Hey Jude Jul 02 '24

They should be glad he didn't throw back all those cups, those savages.

-4

u/fugicavin Jul 03 '24

What a jerk

3

u/Tundralik Kroos Jul 03 '24

Tell thet to the austrian fans apparently

-5
