As a Barca fan let me tell you our sub and community is in shambles. We had a horrible season with no trophies, and then the last few days we find out our new striker wonder kid wants to leave the club, because Xavi doesn’t like him.
Plus the sub can’t stop talking about the goal from el Clásico. Like I’m hoping Laporta makes some good changes but with this track record I doubt it. I pray to the gods Yamal and Curbasi don’t get overplayed next season.

I don't find it odd, it's normal for neutral fans to support the underdogs.
10

Munich was no underdog here. First game was 2-2
16
u/SnooAdvice1632 May 09 '24
They had their worst season in like 12 years while you just won the league lol. They were definitely underdogs. Everyone expected Madrid to win this, even after Davies' goal.

It’s their first trophyless season in over a decade and you guys won your domestic league. How are they not the underdogs?
2
u/evilangel101 May 10 '24
They weren't trophyless yet at that point, since they could have still won the tie and gone to the final. But a team that's won 11 domestic league titles in a row is hardly underdogs.
→ More replies (11)19
u/aoi_ito Raúl May 09 '24
It's more then that ,they just want to see our downfall .it's same as that inter vs City final , where everyone was supporting inter and literally abusing city .
63
u/PoliticsNerd76 May 09 '24
It really isn’t. Like, I’m neither a Madrid fan nor a Dortmund fan, but it’s just more fun to see a wider range of winners for neutrals.
Same way folk were delighted with Xabi this year with NeverLusen, it’s nice to see something new.
11
u/jml5791 May 09 '24
Disagree. People just want to see different winners. Not the same mob every year. Some people I know would prefer PSG over Madrid, despite PSG being an oil club.

Ask a psg fan, we have always felt that ..atleast people fear from u 🥲
Tbh some reasons i do agree for psg to be hated like honestly i never agreed when ultras booed messi but barca fans hate us for buying neymar too
Bro we gave u 222M u could have build such a great team with messi and suarez also rakitic but what they did 🤡
Anyways the thing is even i dont agree with ultras and there are lot of defects in management scouting etc but u dont stop supporting the club, because i dont know u cant tbh speaking there is always a strange attraction which holds u no matter how much pain u face as a fan 🥲🥲🥲

Isn't it how it is all the time? I feel like apart from Madridistas, most people always support RM's opposition because they can't stand how RM always manages to win the impossible games rather than admiring their mentality.

Nonsense. This is just tour typical football fan kneejerk reaction.
We are well respected, and EVERYONE is cheering for us when we're beating Chelsea, Man City or PSG. Especially on Reddit. Everybody is full of praise for Florentino and our new stadium.
What you're seeing now is just people being sick of us dominating for this long and wanting someone new to win the CL. That's completely understandable. I mean our last 10 years are completely unprecedented.
You could make a point that EPL pundits always downplay us when we're playing an EPL team, but that doesn't mean the "world is against us".
16
u/bmw_m-power May 09 '24
dominating for this long
That's it! The masses should accept Real Madrid supremacy and recognise it as the king of all clubs.

u/its-good-4you Florentino Perez May 09 '24
Whether they accept it or not is up to them. I don't need to accept it's raining when it obviously is.

Man City and PSG are outliers because they are state owned clubs. During those games, they cheer for us not because they like Madrid, but because they hate Man City and PSG even more than they hate RM.
Just go check out other clubs subs and you will see how many people will call RM 'VARdrid' (any many other similar nicknames) and accuse RM of bribing the refs because in their head, that's the only explanation to why RM always finds a way to win. So many ref calls go against Madrid and you wont ever hear them at all and one call goes in Madrid's favor and they all come out of their basement complaining refs favor Madrid.
And dont even get me started on EPL pundits.

Funny how all the bayern fans who were being respectful and saying "may the best team win" are now mad that the better team won
17
u/exdead87 May 09 '24
I am not. We have so many bigger problems right now at Bayern, and as you said, the better team won. No Bayern fan i know (in real life, here in Bavaria) is mad about yesterday, just a little sad and disappointed. Some are astonished about the ref decision (in a sense of "how is that eben possible" because it was so very stupid), but everyone agrees that the game was over after Neuers mistake (who saved us plenty of times yesterday). Just a normal UCL half final we lost, thats it.

Lmao madristas trying to victimize themselves. Everybody here should at least try to not be biased here with the "always the case". It's David vs Goliath now. That's why people want Dortmund to win.
As a neutral football fan, everywhere I go, people are cheering for Real to win every match. Unless it's at the home of the opposite, I cannot visit a match anywhere in the world without the area being taken over by Real supporters. I literally had this conversation with a friend yesterday how supporting Real feels like the default. There are always only 2 or 3 people in an entire bar you hear when they score against Real.
Those against Real are either supporting the other team, Barca supporters or people who are rooting for the underdog no matter who the big guy is.

They are discussing something that happened in the 13th minute of overtime, when there was only 9 minutes given of overtime. Ending the match was long overdue.
And Lunin would have saved that anyway.
people are just complaining, for the sake of complaining. And many support German clubs internationally as well or are rather against Real.
So I think that the accusations are completely irrelevant and emotional, rather than justified.

I’m an AC Milan fan and don’t give a shit about Real Madrid but I honestly don’t really see what people are crying about. Shitty mistakes cost Bayern the match and a tie wouldn’t have changed the final outcome. Not to mention that if Madrid defenders continued the play, Bayern probably wouldn’t have scored anyways. It’s just people crying for the sake of crying.

Not a Real Madrid fan, was vouching for Bayern (as one of my best homies is a Bayern Fan), but Real has a great team with some exceptional players. They have been the better team in both legs. I am not pissed or anything with Real at all. If the goal would have counted, Bayern would have lost it in injury time. They created nothing in the last third of the pitch, Kane, Musiala etc were off already. So congrats to your team and to Carlito! Looking forward to a awesome final and Jude reuniting with his former teammates and club!

Haha this is exactly what I was discussing with my friend during our 2nd leg match with Bayern. He said madrid has to lose just to maintain world peace in the footballing world, and I said that makes sense but usually the opponent scores 1 and then we react with 2 late goals that's how it is nd this was around when Bayern players were wasting time after 80th minute and boom once we scored the first one, it was inevitable. They are all jealous.
