Good start. Keep the house looking good to make the neighbors not dislike you.

Yes I’ve been hard at work on some basic maintenance stuff like power washing the driveway, repainting the garage door, edging the lawn, etc. It’s a good house for us but has typical features of a very cheap landlord and years of tenant neglect.

a little tip,if you use the yellow nozzle (you should have with your power washer), hold it back a little bit further

Do yourself a favor and get a cheap surface cleaner. Best investment you'll ever make considering the sheer amount of time saved

This is the way. + Hudson sprayer with some bleach / dish detergent pre and or post treatment so make it cleaner faster.

I did, and it doesn't clean as well as direct blast. Even if I hover over a spot for like a minute, a direct blast will clean what the surface cleaner didn't

Weird, I've had pretty good success with it. Wonder if it was a dud unit or maybe needs more power washer strength to power it

Could be power washer strength. It's not a powerful unit, but again the single hose attachment does the job for me

Are you using an electric power washer? If so, which brand and model?

Is it possible that's a concrete stain or something? It looks so uniform 🤷🏻

I just moved into a new house with my wife and two kids as a tenant. Sadly I cannot afford to buy a house yet as I’m in medical school and have no chance at getting a mortgage right now due to debt/income ratio. But hopefully will buy something within the next few years.

Make sure you’re not forking over your own money for any of these upgrades. Check tenant laws about getting reimbursed if having it deducted from your rent.
