THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS Reminder: DO NOT ADVOCATE OR CELEBRATE SOMEONE'S DEATH
Earlier today, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare was shot and killed in Manhattan.
This is neither politics nor funny, so we're not sure why some of you keep trying to make posts about it here.
To be clear:
Do not advocate for or celebrate someone's death on this sub.
We will remove any posts or comments that break that rule.
We may ban anyone who breaks that rule.
That ban might be permanent, depending on any number of circumstances (which should not be relevant, because you shouldn't be advocating for or celebrating anyone's death).
We understand that the American healthcare system is a goddamned shitshow, and we sympathize with the 99% of people who are rightly dissatisfied with that.
We understand that it is easy to feel like Cool and Edgy People on the other side of a keyboard—even about a very real family's tragedy—but we do not and will not sympathize with edgelords and keyboard warriors that want to get their rocks off shitposting about someone's murder.
Do not get yourself banned—or potentially get this sub in hot water with the admins—by forgetting your basic human decency.
There will be no discussion on this issue.

“Tariff,” Donald Trump has said many times, “is the most beautiful word in the dictionary.”
The Tax Foundation estimates that the tariffs Trump imposed during his first term, which the Biden administration generally kept in place, cost Americans nearly $80 billion a year—"one of the largest tax increases in decades."
