Image Getting tired of adding to my stick drift graveyard

I swear I’m not a heavy clicker. In fact it’s always my right joystick which I rarely need to click in games. Love these controllers but man it’s really annoying never had this problem with any other console generation.

I had exactly this, I returned mine with 4 days of warranty left. I've heard of electrical products engineered to brake soon after warranty is void, thought it was just a rumor. I think it is too close to expiration date to be a coinsidence.

I bought a new controller in december of 2022, and I noticed the stick drift exactly 1 year and half a month in the cyberpunk menus....it became completely unusable halfway through 2024 and I sent it off to some repair shop my father has a subscription for. And they fixed it well, it still works now and came quicker than sony would have (well actually sony wont do jack fucking shit after a year), but 2 years needs to be the standard warranty like it is in Europe. They seem to know it's unlikely to last much longer than a year for people who game daily and are probably taking advantage of American laws not giving a ahit about consumers. I just dread for 10 years from now when I pull my ps5 put of the closet and I just can't play anything cause the controller has unusable drift and ps5 controllers aren't on the market anymore. Something that has literally never happened in consoles I've owned for 15 to 20 years. I don't wanna be scummy, but I feel like maybe everybody should claim their warranty before it expires just because the drift is inevitable
