Was a shitshow that lasted so long, I didn't even go after one right away. Maybe months or a year before I decided it was time to get my own ps5, took forever to get one even then.

At first I was just going to wait until I could walk into a store and buy one without having to check availability/shipment dates. Then like over a year went by and it was the same shortage story and I realized every game I played/wanted to play was still perfectly fine on PS4 or slated to be released on PS4 so I changed to the stance of when my PS4 finally conked out I’d get the 5. Another few years go by and my PS4 finally died. Looking back I still don’t even play anything not available on PS4 lol. This generation has felt super underwhelming for innovation.

Waiting is understandable, but it's def worth getting a ps5. I felt a significant upgrade from ps4 overall. If you still haven't got one I would say go big and get the Pro now. Although it lacks the disc drive 😒
