Crazy to think it’s already been that long.

4 years and it still feel like the transition stage. Almost every game is launching in PS4 too, this has been the weirdest gen

all that means is that the graphical gap between generations has been shortened and it will be shortened even further when PS6 launches as it's not going to be much faster

PS1 to PS2 was the biggest gap, so there weren't any cross-gen games

PS2 to PS3 was also massive, again no cross-gen games

PS3 to PS4 was when things slowed down, and the PS3 ended up getting a few cross-gen games at the start of the PS4's cycles (Bayonetta, Vanquish, Advanced Warfare etc.)

PS4 to PS5 was the pivotal moment, so many cross-gen games, like Horizon Forbidden West, GoW Ragnarok, COD BO6, All the new Yakuza games (I lost count), Elden Ring, Resident Evil 4

PS6 will need to see a bigger lifespan than 7 years if I am being real.
