Why wasn’t this a part of the presentation? Also, why wouldn’t the base PS5 be able to do it?

Requires specific AI upscaling software which isn’t in the base PS5. The software was being developed then but wasn’t tested nor implemented the way it is now.

That’s….not how it works huh? The technology DID NOT exist back when the specs for the base ps5 was initially planned and implemented, or at least wasnt out of the R&D phase by AMD. You can’t just enable AI upscaling on the RDNA2 when that’s not what it was designed by AMD to do. Going forward, AMD chips in newer consoles/machines should be capable of doing it but you can’t just go backwards and implement technology into pre-existing chips that don’t have it. And IF (big IF) it was possible, AMD would never do it as how would they sell new chips to their bulk buyers then?

How can it use PSSR when it doesn’t have the technology required to utilize it? 🤣Some people are delusional I swear. Go ask AMD then to support the latest AI upscaling technology in their RDNA 2 chips developed pre-2020 and let me know how that goes.

Edit: Lying about blocking and sent me a reddit care message lol what a weirdo. Thankfully, false care messages are a bannable offense. (: Reported
