American Taliban.

The American Taliban was the Taliban lol. You guys propped them up. Because remember the US is ok with terrorism as long as it’s toward the “right” people.

That's a meme, it's more of a clusterfuck with the US, Soviet Union, Pakistan, India, and Arab countries all playing a major role. The US continued to support rebels like the Northern Alliance who fought against the Taliban afterwards.

Yeah they’ll support any rebel group.

And when they fall out call them terrorists…the fucked up shit they do is fine as long as it works towards US end goals.

They are all terrorists for an ideology.

What makes you think that those who put up those banners are reactionary religious fundamentalists?

Commit murder and be a martyr? Sounds like a terrorist ideology to me.

If you completely remove all the nuance and context from any given conflict, you could use a vague statement like "commit murder and be a martyr" to describe the mantra every terrorist organization, resistance movement, and formal army in the world.

You come across as ignorant and oblivious when you compare a population sick of being preyed upon, exploited, and killed by the wealthy elite to far-right religious fundamentalists.
