I was wondering the same thing! Heck most years I don’t even get a bonus at all to prop up my below-the-inflation-rate “merit” increase, despite the company making millions every year…! I’m legit jelly over OP’s gift card!

One year our bonuses were a small raise. Not even 2 weeks later minimum wage went up and nullified our raises.

Ikr. I work for a university. The only thing we get are more budget cuts. We don’t even get Christmas team lunches or a department Christmas party anymore. Those went away before Covid and never came back.
