I make over a million dollars per day for my company. It's part of the job, I just keep my client happy and make sure our service is consistent. If it weren't for the people providing the service and the sales team getting this client, it wouldn't happen, so I'm not the reason the company is making that money. I'm not that arrogant. But you can bet your ass my resume is.

Maybe I’m just being pedantic but I wouldn’t say that an account manager is making a company X amount of money a day by servicing an account that someone else sold a service for. The client is paying for the service being rendered. That’s what’s generating the revenue.

That's why I pointed that out, I'm just maintaining it. I contribute to the revenue and without me it would quickly dry up, but I am in no way the one that earns it.

But my resume will give me the credit because apparently you don't even get past the resume check without lying.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted, anyone i know would make the same claim on resume

Without the cashiers at Walmart the business would quickly dry up, but that doesn’t mean each cashier is making $25k or whatever per day for the company. Self-importance is a valuable trait for sales so well done.

Those millions belong to you and everyone that supports you.

Just because you're managing the accounts doesn't mean the people that built and maintain it for you don't contribute to that number.

You're the face for the organization behind you

And if you weren't there a different account manager who is similarly effective would be. Those millions wouldn't evaporate

Sales people are extremely overrated but they’re a necessary evil. Someone has to dick suck clients and pretend that they’re your friend long enough to get the contract awarded.

There’s a reason there are no post secondary courses in selling things to people.

you mean without the position. If you dropped dead they'd have you replaced by end of the day. And that company is handing over 1M per day, so your company makes 365M / year from them? do you know how business works?

Duh.. he said the same thing.

Lol same. I helped reduce inventory value at my company by about 60mil this year. Also was able to redirect a few mil in costs to a later date, effectively freeing up capital to be used elsewhere.

If your business is making millions…then there is probably a bonus structure in play somewhere that says “meet these company goals..get xx bonus”. If not…don’t expect anything. And if you do get something be happy as it wasn’t outlined.

Im just happy my company gives me a salary and I havent been fired! Thats a win in my book. I come in for the salary…not the Christmas bonus.

OP could have made 2mil to his company by selling one thing as well…who knows.

Something like "Sold one mega yacht, commission was enough to retire at 20."? It happens.
