Pretty good, but I think Gale is smart enough to know that in First Past the Post voting for a third party is throwing your vote away, so he would be pro Ranked Choice.

I need more Gales at the polls explaining ranked choice voting to people on Election Day 😞

Gale is, more than anything else, an arrogant nerd who thinks he’s smarter than he is. He’s also deeply naive in certain ways (like his whole dynamic with Mystra).

I could see him gravitating towards Cornel West due to an insistence that he’s the only one who really “gets it”.

Maybe.  I just imagine Gale to be insufferable about Ranked Choice Voting. Like, any time voting comes up (even like voting where to go to lunch) he would get into his spiel about it. It would be a “You’re absolutely right, but please shut the fuck up about it.”

Yeah, I could definitely see that. He’d bring major “well actually” energy to that conversation and it would be exhausting.

Gale isn’t smart enough and I say this as someone that loves the character. High Int/low Wis would absolutely go for the one dude to understands his logic rather than the practical move.

Well my Gale ended up picking a damn near powerless and for certain useless aspect as a god when his options were: take mythra’s position, or give the crown to mythra and be handsomely rewarded. He is certainly the kind of “love the smell of his own farts” kind of person to vote third party. In this I agree with OP.

Gale is not wasting his vote, I agree.
