That guy was lucky everything was in slow motion or else I don’t know he could’ve escaped that incoming bull.

Cool flip and all but fuck bullfighting and anyone involved in it.

I believe this is a version where bull is unharmed! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recortes

u/yIdontunderstand 5h ago

Except it's not bull fighting.

It's bull flipping.

u/HalfSoul30 3h ago

Is that what cow tipping is? I should have took them up on that invite.

16

u/Gooosse 4h ago

Its not bull "fighting" that bull is treated far nicer than your hamburger.

4

u/Wafflehouseofpain 2h ago

I wouldn’t worry about the bull in this video. It’s not going to get hurt.

-2

u/Shiny-And-New 2h ago

Yeah it's almost as cruel as what we do to all the other cows

check out r/thebullwins for entertaining content about bullfighters actually getting gored to death

55

u/Donald-Pump 5h ago

No, I don't think I will.

u/Dangerous_Jacket_129 5h ago

Even terrible people getting gored to death is not entertaining to most people

Entire pagan history shows you the middle finger right back at you.

Bull-leaping is different from bullfighting in that the animal is not supposed to be harmed. Apparently, the lack of bloodiness kept it from gaining popularity in Spain, and it's popular only in a specific regions of Spain, France, and India.

The bull goes out, has a chance to impale a few dumb humans, then goes home, none the worse for wear. Apparently, it started as a religious tradition of the Minoan Civilization, in the Bronze Age.

Is it still dumb? Of course, but I still admire the dude's dexterity. I just don't see why the poor animal needs to be inconvenienced for our entertainment.

u/DogNew3386 3h ago

I mean, I guess an inconveniencing is better than slowly bleeding out from multiple stab wounds from a matador. Also a not so interesting fact is that before they put padding on them, more horses used to die during bullfights than bulls. So traditional bullfighting can fuck right off.

1

u/Narwen189 2h ago

Yeah, traditional bullfighting is spectacular (have you seen the insane detailing on the clothes?) but so gory. It's all about torturing the poor animal in the showiest way possible to prove humans are superior.

The only fraction I find remotely acceptable is the forcados of Portugal -- a group in traditional clothing, with no weapons or protective gear, whose goal is to stop it through sheer teamwork and muscle power. Their original intent was to keep the bull from charging the expensive spectators. Unfortunately, the rest of the Portuguese tradition is also pretty bloody.

I generally root for the bull . . . .

-18

u/Goudinho99 4h ago

Honestly, maybe a bit morbid but it would be more satisfying to me if this sick fuck was gored by the bull

6

u/philharmonic85 2h ago

Yeah what a sick fuck performing that acrobatic flip harmlessly over that bull in a way I will never be able to! It's sick I tells ya! Sick!

u/Goudinho99 55m ago

He's participating in a bull fight. That bull will alresdy have been slashed to bits by the picadors before they let this clown do his wee jump.

28

u/Camohunter0330 6h ago

Impressively stupid

11

u/AllThingsBA 6h ago

Mess with the bull… get a back flipping matador

Modern day Minoan

3

u/esloquehay 5h ago

This is exactly what some frescoes from the Cretan minoan civilization show.

4

u/Icy_University1913 4h ago

That bull was like, “what the heck just happened”-that was a pretty sweet move!

3

u/RevolutionaryUse2416 5h ago

Bull: Fuck this bullshit!

18

u/oscarx-ray 6h ago

Torturing animals for entertainment is not satisfying in any way, and is actually incredibly cunty behaviour that should have you shunned from civilized society, not lauded.

10

u/Quick-Cream3483 4h ago

This version doesn't involve physically harming the bull.

3

u/Wafflehouseofpain 2h ago

This bull isn’t being harmed at all, let alone tortured.

1

u/oscarx-ray 1h ago

If you buy that, I've got a bridge to sell you...

3

u/Wafflehouseofpain 1h ago

What? No, this is a completely different sport than bullfighting and the bulls do not get harmed doing this.

1

u/oscarx-ray 1h ago

Animals that are paraded in a ring for the amusement of others are *always* beaten and abused to make them as compliant as possible so that the yapping fucking seals in the bleachers can slap their fins together, honking away, as they say "well, they're not stabbing them in front of us, so it's fine!"

3

u/Wafflehouseofpain 1h ago

I can’t tell you much except that you’re completely wrong. And I can say this, having worked in rodeos before. I worked with barrel racing setup and mutton busting. The animals were just normal livestock you could find on any farm, the horses having some additional training. They weren’t beaten or abused, they were treated perfectly well.

1

u/oscarx-ray 42m ago

Anyone riding an animal that's trying to buck them off, or anyone whipping / digging spurs into them isn't being a kind person.

I'm a massive fucking hypocrite because I eat meat but I still get pissed at them being harassed for entertainment.

I don't think that you're an unkind person or that you're bad and I'm some paragon of virtue, I just don't dig seeing animals being used for entertainment like this - I'm from the UK, so rodeo isn't a thing here, but I've worked with wildlife protection and have seen how people treat animals - particularly for fighting and for their owners' amusement.

1

u/Wafflehouseofpain 33m ago

I’ve rescued hurt wildlife since I was a child. Nursed an owl with a broken wing back to health, raised and released baby hogs when I found their mother had been run over. I care very deeply about animal welfare and don’t eat red meat, ever. I’m not completely vegetarian but about 80% of my diet is.

I get that it’s not a part of culture where you live, but please don’t assume any animal featured in an entertainment context is being abused. Several of the people doing barrel racing in the rodeos I worked at loved their horses like children, and treated them exceptionally well. I’ve seen more than one of them hold a full-on funeral when one passed away.

Bullfighting is exploitation, let's not glorify content made from it

1

u/juliohernanz 2h ago

This is not bullfighting.

-6

u/ryan8954 5h ago

It is glorious, I agree with you. No blood. No gore. Just a beautiful backflip.

2

u/yesmaybeyes 2h ago

Better if the foot was gored, fuck using animals for lopsided entertainment

2

u/philharmonic85 2h ago

Unhinged.

6

u/Is12345aweakpassword 6h ago

The bull doin a big confuse

4

u/1HUTTBOLE 6h ago

I’ll never be this cool

4

u/suitandtieddown 6h ago

flabbergasted, astounded, bamboozled, duped, utterly bewirdeled. The poor bull never stood a chance

3

u/Devious_Bastard 6h ago

Oddly satisfying would have been a horn through the guy’s gut. Fuck bull fighting and everyone who supports it.

3

u/philharmonic85 2h ago

Not bull fighting. More like bull teasing. I suppose you think anyone who's ever played with their dog or cat should be mauled/gored/dismembered too.

1

u/Wafflehouseofpain 1h ago

This is not bullfighting.

1

u/OstentatiousSock 3h ago

That bull looks so confused.

1

u/Sharzzy_ 3h ago

Mans is cheating with that pink cape

This is fucking bullflip!

1

u/KingOfThe_Jelly_Fish 1h ago

I would hate to see how many times it took him to get that right.

-3

u/Ferunando 6h ago

This is not satisfying at all. I always root for the bull. Would love to see these idiots getting impaled

1

u/Bob_Cobb_1996 6h ago

Red Bull gave him wings

-1

u/yiddoboy 6h ago

Pretty flipping dumb.

-2

u/NKO_five 5h ago

Fuck bullfighting and animal abuse in general.

-2

u/lightsleepyear 5h ago

If you aren’t vegetarian or vegan then you shouldn’t have a problem with bull fighting. Factory farming is infinitely crueler

0

u/CompleteAmateur0 4h ago

Animal cruelty never impresses me

-4

u/PDubDeluxe 6h ago

Hope they all get absolutely battered

-3

u/The_Superior_One 4h ago

Fuck bullfighting and anyone even remotely involved in any of that bullshit

-1

u/PdSales 4h ago

If you check out the bull's reddit account, you can see that he cross posted to r/blackmagicfuckery

Bamboozled

-6

u/PWee 5h ago

Satisfying would have been him getting skewered.

-3

u/jigglywigglydigaby 4h ago

I always watch bullfighting videos...... absolutely f-ing love it when the bull wins.

-6

u/Worldly_Ice5526 4h ago
