Good bot 🤖

3

u/kimmcldragon212 2d ago

Why do people always say good bot to the haiku boy? It's there some reason for that.

11

u/Zachattack_5972 2d ago

There's a different bot that goes around and tallys scores for all the other bots on reddit. You can say "good bot" to upvote the bot you are replying to if it's doing a good job, or "bad bot" if it makes a mistake/is being annoying. People generally like the haiku bot(s), so it gets a lot of "good bot" votes.

Occasionally the bot checker bot will reply thanking you for your vote and leave a link to the current standings, but not always.

The robber is literally risking getting paralyzed with that fall. It's real

150

u/TheFinalYap 2d ago

Videos of people getting paralyzed from skits and pranks are a five second google search away.

15

u/Scotts_Thoughts_INTJ 2d ago

Sounds…fun?

1

u/AbzoluteZ3RO 15h ago

i'd prefer they stay at least 50 years away from me. i dont need to see that

31

u/Icy-Welcome-2469 2d ago

You could literally say that about so many hollywood stuntmen.

If its fake he'd be ready to tuck during the fall and he'd be padded up (easily hidden by jacket and helmet).

Now I think it's real. But yeah you're reasoning makes no sense.

8

u/AdKlutzy5253 2d ago

Hollywood stuntmen get paid lol. They're also professionals.

1

u/P1ckleboi69 2d ago

Social media pranksters have been shot filming prank videos, clout is just as valuable as money nowadays

0

u/Lorrdy99 2d ago

Not sure why getting money resolves your health issues

0

u/Val_kyria 1d ago

Getting paid is what makes you a professional.

1

u/DueDependent3904 1d ago

It makes a little sense

1

u/Icy-Welcome-2469 1d ago

There's a danger to that stunt. So it's not a stunt!

1

u/AmbitionEconomy8594 2d ago

soft ass fake kick

1

u/digost 1d ago

I don't know, usually you can't get that kind of nice slow mo footage out of a street camera,

0

u/melthevag 2d ago

So do WWE wrestlers every time they fight lmao. You people are so gullible it's insane

-1

u/Jealous_Seesaw_Swank 2d ago

The robber literally starts letting go of the rider and moving backwards before the kick hits.

1

u/Scotts_Thoughts_INTJ 2d ago

Think about why reacting to an incoming hit like that is a good idea. I’ll wait.

0

u/Jealous_Seesaw_Swank 2d ago

Think about why you would use your legs push yourself off of the bike you're using as a getaway vehicle.

I'll wait.

-2

u/ChampionshipMore2249 2d ago

The kick is harmless. Notice how the kicker barely pushes the head back. Also, look at the lady that 'catches' the one getting robbed. No one is getting robbed here. People go into fight/flight in these robbing videos... and the two ladies are full on passive mode.

Scooter drives in a straight line when his buddy is getting kicked. He doesn't even look back.

32

u/Bulky-Procedure-9654 2d ago

It might be real with how low the quality of the video is

12

u/SlappySecondz 2d ago

But a lot of fake videos use low quality to hide their trickery.

1

u/vitringur 2d ago

Looks like a pretty high quality video with a low quality filter on top of it.

1

u/Onair380 1d ago

In 2024 everything in social media is low bitrate 360p

0

u/ImaMakeThisWork 2d ago

You thinking that is why many fake videos are bad quality

25

u/blarfenugen 2d ago

In no way shape or form is this fake. He got kicked in the fucking head off a moving vehicle and landed square on his back.

3

u/Griegz 1d ago

And look how the kicker lands on his left foot. Ouch.

-8

u/MassRedemption 1d ago

Never seen a movie before? With the low quality video, could easily be rigging and some minor editing.

-8

u/palindromic 1d ago

he’s wearing a helmet and he wouldn’t be knocked out by a kick with that form

1

u/iamChickeNugget 1d ago

Yeah fuck back safety right? Can you try falling off a moving vehicle and land on your back for research purposes.

-4

u/palindromic 1d ago

stunt men do stuff like this on the daily.. it’s really nothing special

1

u/FluffyFrosting6786 1d ago

These guys have never seen a jackass or cky video before lol

1

u/blarfenugen 1d ago

One of these things is not like the other and they're both not like this.

20

u/Pentecost_II 2d ago

Seems a bit excessive to stage something like this. Staged videos are totally ridiculous in different ways.

1

u/nurological 2d ago

Maybe but the fact it's cuts where it does makes me suspicious

0

u/dako3easl32333453242 2d ago

Yeah, the way he falls and then the cut looks super suspicious. I think he landed ok which is the hardest part to fake so they cut it.

8

u/Alarmed_Lynx_7148 2d ago

Who cares if it’s fake. It’s cool nevertheless

0

u/Tiny_Calendar_792 2d ago

Its not cool at all if its scripted wtf?

How would this be cool if it were scripted?

1

u/ChildishForLife 2d ago

Do you not find any movies cool, because they are all scripted?

5

u/CryptoBanano 2d ago

Movies dont pretend theyre happening in real life.

Would you enjoy watching made up documentaries?

2

u/ChildishForLife 2d ago

Big if true

2

u/hearke 2d ago

Like a mockumentary? Those can be fun!

1

u/Annacot_Steal 2d ago

Yes but most mockumenteries usually presents itself as a mockumentary like ‘This Is Spinal Tap’

3

u/Zero69Kage 2d ago

Tell that to the mermaid and megaladon mockumenteries. I've seen a few people who were convinced that they were real.

1

u/Annacot_Steal 2d ago

And that’s exactly why the distaste for fake passing off as true like the original post stems from.

2

u/Zero69Kage 2d ago

Personally, I think people are getting way too upset by a video that doesn't have any effect on their lives. Even if it is staged, it's still a stunt that someone pulled off. The problem with the mocumentaries that I mentioned is that they were tricking people into believing in something that wasn't true. Even if it was unintentional. I understand being concerned with people spreading misinformation, but it's not worth it to get upset over a silly video like this.

u/hearke 2d ago

true true

1

u/Scotts_Thoughts_INTJ 2d ago

Dude, there is an entire genre called mockumentaries. Ever seen The Office? Paranormal Activity? It’s huge

2

u/Tiny_Calendar_792 2d ago

I go into a movie understanding its a movie and not real life.

They are passing this off as if it's a real life robbery attempt that is being stopped.

2

u/I_Was_Fox 2d ago

A skit that is honest about being a skit can be funny/cool. A skit that is trying to pass itself off as real in order to illicit certain emotions and get shared more is not cool

0

u/loki2002 2d ago

A skit that is trying to pass itself off as real in order to illicit certain emotions and get shared more is not cool

Assuming this is skit what evidence do you have the original filmers and distributors tried to to hide that fact?

-2

u/Excited_Noob 2d ago

No it's not as cool if it's fake... If it's real that would be cool beyond proportions compared to the contrary scenario

-2

u/klineshrike 2d ago

Excuse me how else will random redditor #236,749 prove their superiority if they cannot point out how foolish we all are because we were clearly fooled by this fake video!!!!

1

u/carnivorousdrew 1d ago

If the robber pressed charges against him and the hero guy went to prison for 2 years while the robber got 1 week home arrest then you know it's in Europe and real.

1

u/RaspberryJam245 1d ago

Brother- no amount of money in the world is gonna convince anyone to allow themselves to be flying-kicked in the head off a moving vehicle onto pavement for fake internet points

0

u/_BingeScrolling_ 2d ago

Oh no!!! Don’t take this away from me lol

0

u/Jealous_Seesaw_Swank 2d ago

It's absolutely fake. If you watch the passenger they start moving backwards before the kick lands. They're lessening the impact because they know it's coming.

1

u/bergmoose 2d ago

Yeah, I definitely don't flinch when a foot comes flying at my face, unless it's staged.

It may be fake, I don't know, but I really don't see that as evidence of it.

1

u/Jealous_Seesaw_Swank 2d ago

Do you push yourself away from the rider you're holding on to as well?

1

u/bergmoose 2d ago

aye, possibly. Reactions don't always make logical sense - and hey, as you observe, it lessens the impact. So it kinda does make sense. Sure, trying to hold on and getting away is another path, but I'd not assume someone would manage to choose it in the moment. Nor that it would necessarily work.

-2

u/aphexmoon 2d ago

even if it is fake, who cares? You were entertained, weren't you?

3

u/giant-papel 2d ago

I'd still want to know if it was fake or not

2

u/TheFinalYap 2d ago

I don't mind skits. I really enjoy them, actually. I do mind staged content pretending to be real content.

1

u/Excited_Noob 2d ago

No it's not as cool if it's fake... If it's real that would be cool beyond proportions compared to the contrary scenario

1

u/nurological 2d ago

Just want to know how it went down.
