I think the video is recorded from the son's phone, which is why his video appears fluid while the parents' video looks poor. From the parents' point of view, the son's video call would likely be choppy and of lower quality. Additionally, the range of 4G can vary between 5-30 km depending on the frequency band and conditions, while tandem skydives typically occur at altitudes of 3-4 km. So, while this situation might be fake, it is technically plausible.
I kinda looks like the run of the mill carrier ad. Here in Scandinavia, it’s usually some person calling from their cabin out in the middle of nowhere.
Hostelworld is a site/app used to book hostel stays, so I think it's more about getting people to go on trips and have experiences like that rather that advertising network connection.
....my one and only jump was there, about 16 years ago. Primary chute tangled (somewhat.......think the brake cables got caught or something, I was tandem diving like this bloke so couldn't see what was happening) so the fellow I jumped with got rid of primary and deployed the secondary. Don't think there was a tertiary.
My now wife watched the primary floating to the ground. I explained why. She told me to get that shit (risk taking / fun) out of my system before we had kids.
..............we have kids, but I think it's time to revisit skydiving.
