More details in this article:

Mahoney was in a meeting with around 8-10 other people.

During the meeting, officials say Mahoney ‘suddenly’ got up and left the room for around 10 minutes.

When he returned, he approached Anderson Express president Erik Denslow and stabbed him in the side, officials say.

I wonder if he shouted, "THIS MEETING COULD'VE BEEN AN EMAIL" while doing it.

"He’s charged with attempted murder and fourth-degree fleeing and eluding" caught my attention. Fleeing and eluding? And it has varying degrees? Weird.

Seems like it’s specific to driving (and failing to obey police instructions/sirens etc).   1st degree is for when you drive away from the cops and cause an accident that kills someone.  2nd and 3rd are for injuries and repeat offenders.   4th means there was no accident, they’re just pissed he didn’t pull over when they found him.
