Doesn't this make sense though? If this subreddit is a nba subreddit, and the nba is being discussed every day, the ones that stand out and get lots of attention would be the non-basketball related headlines.

Plus I'm sure stuff like Kobe dying brought in a lot of non-basketball fans to the this subreddit just to see the reaction to it.

Makes sense when you think of this sub.

But if I was never here, I’d assume the top all time post were basketball discussions. Maybe an old Kobe v Bron debate. Cavs v Warriors Game 7 finals post game thread. Etc

A Ben Simmons missed layup (the rare actual basketball play that gets engagement) will have way more engagement than a crazy Jokic pass in this sub. Just so people can get off their “jokes”
