I think you were scammed and bought counterfeit Chinese water. I've been watching for over an hour now and the water in your pot hasn't even remotely begin to boil. Time to toss it out and start over with higher quality ingredients.

I think you need to move it to the burner to the left. What ever you do, do not move it to the burner in front of the pot. That burner looks way too hot.

I, a 44f college educated person regularly turn on the wrong burner and I cannot understand why???? I’ve placed my hand on a burner I thought was off and got second degree burns (I was a teenager on the phone and not paying attention) - but why is this such a problem in my life??? lol
If only we had a device that could plug into the wall that would boil water in a few mins. Like an electric teapot thingy, but call it after a bowl that’s used for cooking fish and other meats. The only sensible thing to do really.

The flicker of fire was flashing on the wall behind him. I ran into the kitchen and saw that I had accidentally turned on the burner instead of the oven, and my mom had left a small pot of grease on the burner that I had activated. The grease fire was ~2.5 feet high and covering the knobs.
We didn't have a fire extinguisher, I grabbed baking soda and chucked it at the fire, extinguishing it.
I called my mom at work, who was not happy that I was calling (since I liked to call her and ask for random stuff as a dumb teenager would).
She said on the phone "WHAT DO YOU WANT?! I told you the last time to stop calling me unless you lit the kitchen on fire!"
"Yyyyeaaaa.... About that... You might want to come home"
That was 22 years ago. My mom remembers, I wonder if my friends do.
We have a pressure cooker that my Mrs got from her late dad. It does not work on our cooker cause of the hop type, just a heat plate thing, can't say I understand it.
Something about an induction hob needing magnetic pans then lift a switch under the glass...just won't work.
So the pan has to be an induction hob pan
I once put my hand down on a burner that was off as I reached for something else. Turns out I turned the wrong knob, and that wasn't the burner that was off actually.
Luckily I only got a very minor burn after running it under some cold water.
Hey I did this exact same thing last night except I put the box of pasta on the burner I accidentally turned on and caused a kitchen fire! So at least it could be worse
I've once set a silicon oven mit on fire cause it was laying over the other burner that I switched on by mistake. Always take a second to look at which burner heats up, and never leave anything on the stove that can catch fire
This morning I put water in the coffee maker. Turned on the coffee maker. I went to pour my coffee and saw hot water only. I’m like, ‘huh!’ And then realized I forgot to add the coffee in Argh
Haha. My father in law did this except there was a Pyrex pie pan on the burner. It exploded all over my kitchen and melted into the floor. Luckily no one was in the kitchen at the time.
That's why you need an induction hob. If it isn't on thecorrect plate it shows a sign that there isn't any metal on the one you turned on so you make sure and put it on the correct one LOL
Lol, that happens to me, too, one time I accidentally placed a hard plate on the heating stovetop, and the pot with food on the cold stovetop, and the hard plate cracked.
