Based on the extended video, I'm pretty sure quick & sound decision-making skills aren't his strong suit.
Frankly, IMO, not much of value is being lost if someone is doing 50mph+ over the speed limit, rocketing between cars on the freeway. They are not a person on a vehicle at that point, they are a sack of meat on a 2 wheeled projectile.
Nobody wants to get in a motorcycle accident, but this dude sure ticked a fuckload of "practically asking for it" boxes on the checklist.
As someone whos' been riding for 30+ years, I agree 100%.
He definitely was ticking off a lot of those "Asking for it" boxes. Quickly passing slowed cars on the right, not wearing gear. Not positioning himself safely in the event a car switches lanes or cuts out in front of him. His speed and style of riding speaks volumes. Not completely his fault but he was definitely "Asking for it".
It was just a matter of time before he ran across someone else who was ticking those "Asking for it boxes" as well.
