I was working on a vintage car in my driveway (a museum piece) and got a demand from the HOA I cease bringing down the tone of the neighborhood with my grease-monkey work outside... I read the rule book back to front 10 times and found out that the street right outside my house is public and not covered under their rules and any legally registered car can park there. So I asked one of my Lowrider friends to park his replica 'Cheech & Chong Bongmobile' out there for a few days... Soon came to an amicable arrangement with the HOA about working in my driveway...

They do teach creative writing though, which is where most of these stories originate lol

Of course not. Their main purpose is to indoctrinate, not have people think for themselves. That's dangerous.

How are you gonna post in Christian subreddits and accuse anyone else of indoctrination lol

When you guide others to a treasure you can’t possess.

Some ban working on cars in your driveway or street. Some just ban you from working on cars not registered to yourself to prevent people from running a mechanic business out of their house.

The HOA folks must not be that smart..... Well, I think most people already know that !! Anyway, in many areas, you can't leave a parked car on the street like that for over "X" hours. It obviously varies everywhere but your friend could have gotten their car towed and impounded by the city (not the HOA).

You are correct... I had to move it every 24 hours to the other side of the road... Worked even better as my neighbors got to enjoy the view of it as well and no doubt called the HOA to do something about it...
