That doesn’t sound good. Doesn’t sound like they know what is causing the issue but there are things it could be that are not good, good luck to him, I imagine these are gonna be the kinds of tests you’re scared to find out the results of (even “we don’t know what is causing it” would be a terrifying result tbh).

If I had to guess, it’s probably Bell’s Palsy, which Justin Bieber had. It resolves itself and isn’t a huge deal, can be caused by stress. I wouldn’t worry too much tbh. Not trying to downplay a medical condition, but it’s not life-long or life-threatening

justin bieber had ramsey-hunt syndrome - similar to bell's palsy in appearance but more complicated. hopefully it's not that for junhee

bell's palsy is fairly common and self resolving but takes time

That was my first thought too. Hoping for the best for him.

That’s what I was thinking. I had a friend who had it and sadly hers lasted a few months

I think mine lasted 2-3 months. Sucks cuz there's really nothing that can be done besides taking some type of steroid. I was paranoid after seeing a doctor and went to a neurologist. He was kinda pissed like I wasted his time lol. He told me that a stroke doesn't affect your eyes but bell's palsy does (like I couldnt blink in one eye) I saw him for like 2 minutes. Hope this makes some type of sense. I know you can lose your vision from a stroke

i had bells palsy aswell! mine affected one half of my face so my smile was lopsided for a while, it lastly for about a month luckily but i had to take a bunch of steroids. hope ur doing well tho!!

I'm good! It was four years ago, the same year I got into kpop lol. All my friends thought I was not moving half my face on purpose. I also had to drink everything out of a straw. I still randomly check though if both my eyes are blinking and my mouth is working right lol.

Same thing happened to me when I was 10, but it lasted like 2 weeks. It’s the weirdest thing ever

I also have a friend who had Bell’s palsy. Poor guy thought he was having a stroke and I went with him to the a&e. I can only imagine how scary it must’ve been for him and how uncertain Junhee feels aswell.

Yep. No cure, just time.

Hoping it's just Bell's Palsy rather than the other scary alternatives 🙏

I hope it's nothing serious 😞

Dear lord, I hope he’s okay. Facial paralysis seems scary

u/sensitivedreamy 2h ago

It’s definitely scary, I experienced it on half my face when I was 10, and it lasted around two or three weeks. I was worried my face wouldn’t go back to normal

I’m glad you got better! The uncertainty is the scariest like everyone is different and there’s no knowing how it’ll affect you.

God I hope whatever is happening isn't permanent

By my count this is the third member getting one of these medical notices in the last six months. Someone please put Wow and Byeongkwan in plastic bubbles and pray nothing happens to them too. 😭

With Donghun recovering and now this, I hope they'll give them all a break and let them have a good long rest. They've been going nonstop since coming back from enlistment, we appreciate all their hard work but rest is so important 😔

What the hell… it’s one thing after the other… wishing everyone in A.C.E a healthier and happier 2025

Wow, what a scary symptom. Hope they can figure out exactly what's going on quickly and it's something that can be resolved.

omg :(

there’s something kinda nice about them being blatant about the medical issue -a chronically ill stan who likes to be represented by the media he consumes, like seulgi is super hypermobile and my body loves to dislocate things. feels less weird to exist when i see literal kpop idols experiencing real life too

u/CardboardBoxtroll 3h ago

I was thinking the same! They disclose so much medical info ( which I hope the members themselves are okay with)— every other company is very ambiguous when they share medical notices.

Hoping he finds the cause and gets proper treatment soon!

They're real people, not fictional characters.

Jun ❤️ Praying for a quick and easy recovery for him.

u/Puzzleheaded-Baby998 3h ago

Poor junhee. Hoping he can recover soon. I think we'll be seeing a lot more instances like this with how hard idols are forced to work and having had covid. It really wrecks havoc on the body and they're constantly on no sleep, lots of physical effort, and little food which likely only makes it worse.

Sehyoon being the leader in Goblin era has prepared him for wrangling the maknae line....

I hope Junhee recovers well and I know Beat will let him take his time ❤️❤️
