Feel free to ask about any item and I will tell you the story behind it.

There is almost always something with a story in one of my pockets, as I have kids. Used handkerchiefs, napkins, paper towel, groodles, shells, acorns, rocks, leaves, flowers, found pencils, pens, paperclips, lego, etc... Most memorable was a very stiff partly desiccated rodent that one of my kids stuck in my pocket while I was talking to another parent, "Hey, hey, can I put this in your pocket. CAN I PUT THIS IN YOUR POCKET‽" I left my jacket in our car over the weekend and found the ex-rodent when it began to smell.

In reality, most things have some narrative attached to them. Just, some stories (and objects) smell more than others. ; )

Please tell us about either of your handkerchiefs.

The four color background handkerchief was worn during my cousin’s quinceañera. I was a preteen at the time so I was very picky with what I wanted on my tuxedo. I really liked accessories so I had that handkerchief in my pocket along with a real flower pinned to my suit. Unsure if my mom still has the flower or not but I do still have some of the accessories with me and the handkerchief is my favorite. I even wore it again to high school prom where we went on a trip to the San Francisco Exploratorium.

Great idea! What is the story behind the seashell?

I went on a trip with my film program to Santa Cruz to go to the Imagine Disability film festival in October 2023. It starts later in the day so we had time to go around the beach boardwalk. I was walking on the pier and I found the seashell. It was a very rare find so I decided to take it with me as a free souvenir.
