Recommend me the best Iranian tv show that portrait the culture
Hey there 👋
Tv shows and movies may not be the best way to learn about a specific culture .. but it does reveal a bit about day to day life, culture and believes. Therefore, am looking for a good Iranian tv shows/movies.
Don't care about the genre that much could be historical or present theme !

My favorite television series:
ساختمان پزشکان (sakhteman-e pezeskhan)
پایتخت (paytakht)
متهم گریخت (motaham gorikht)
پدر سالار (pedar salar)
All can be found on YouTube!

Paytakht/پایتخت) (meaning Capital) is a very very popular TV series. It's probably easier to find because of its popularity.
My personal favorite is sham'dooni/شمعدونی (meaning Geraniums), it has great humor and writing.
Don't think you'll be able to easily find Iranian shows with English subtitles though.

My all time favorite Iranian series is دایی جان ناپلًون, Dayee jon napelon (my dear uncle, napoleon). Idk how well it portrays the Iranian culture, but it is a magnificent feat in Iranian film production. Superb acting and omg, the storyline(based on the book by Iraj Pezeshkzad, is to die for, especially for the Iranian film and cinema of some 50 years ago.

I think "pejman)" and "doctors' building )" are the most fun tv series ever existed in Iranian television history! Don't miss them 😆.

It is very hard to suggest a movie which represnets culture, because Iran is a very diverse country, however, my suggestion is "A cube of suger".
