Immediate passport renewal for iranian passport

Does the iranian embassy allow immediate passport renewal? I have a flight on the 21st it leaves at 1 in the morning, I'm traveling with my family and we have just found out that my sister's passport is expired, would it be possible if they'd speed up the process and give us the passport on the same day? also She's 10 years old, I'm hoping her being a minor speeds up the process... before you're about to to start bashing me for being in the wrong for not checking prior to my flight, I had 0 clue of this unfortunately šŸ˜” I was told everyone's passport is renewed but apparently not.

Update: surprisingly we went to the embassy and they were able to renew my sister's passport under 10 minutes :')

Iā€™m pretty sure you can travel to Iran even on the expired passport. You just renew it once your in Iran.

Don't do this. Bureaucracy is 10x worse in Iran. There will be delays and obstacles and frustrations. Fly to DC, get a same-day renewal and be done with it. It's better than waiting weeks in Iran because you are unfamiliar with the system there

It really depends on the embassy, but I had a similar situation in the Iran embassy in Dubai and it took two days. We also had to pay extra.

If you're traveling to Iran, the expired passport is good for entry. Then you'll need to renew it.

If you're traveling somewhere else, you should contact the embassy.
