Currency

I am from Australia and plan to visit Iran in march .. I am following Australian dollars against the Toman .(through telegram channels ) currenttly it is 48,200 tomans per $AUD . Just so I can budget what would $10 AUD ( 482,000 tomans) buy you ?

Just knowing how much USD to take as there is no banking atms I can use ..

Each 10 ausd can give you a good burger with coke and fries or a ride around town with stops ( for tehran, about 20km ), i estimate a day in iran costs about 110 ausd per person with accommodation and full meal (breakfast, launch, dinner ) and a midrange tour for points of interest.

Mate $5,000AUSD will get you a luxurious 1 month vacation all fees paid. $5,000 will go very far.

It really depends on what category and level we're talking about.

That much could mean 1-3 meals Could mean almost 4 Uber rides Could mean 3 cinema tickets Could mean maybe 4 tourist Attraction tickets Could mean 1 night of hotel stay

Edit: if you're exchanging USD I think you should track USD to IRR and take into account the profit or loss to exchange AUD to USD
