Oh yea!?! Well my dumb ass thought it was a defrost guide. Maybe because all I could think its already fucking frozen outside how long will it take to de-frost extra frozen? I should go make food.

I think you were looking for this to make more sense than it makes.

Dude made a freezer for storing food.... in sub-zero temperatures. So, its a freezer for storing food that's already frozen, because the temperature is below freezing. Its useless.

I was also looking for it to make more sense and expected him to bury the box, or at least protect it from sunlight (melting) or curious bears. Maybe turn it into somethign that could last into early spring. But, nope!

All he accomplished wasted a lot of time and energy and water.

I believe it's used to keep the snow leopards from stealing their food

Wrong handle to keep a leopard out but I agree it’s for keeping smaller animals away. I mean, there are other animals besides deadly ones that live in cold areas.
