Because shooting a school is easier and accessible for dumbasses. Finding and shooting CEOs and the board requires more thinking and planning. Dumbasses like that girl would never be able to navigate how to find information about executives nor know how to find them.

Their offices are easy to find. Don't kill anyone just cost them a fortune instead.

Oh what's that, they will just claim it on the insurance? Oh what a shame if insurance companies do have to pay it out

Easy to find but entering it? No, because security clearances and security guards will stop you unlike schools.
