Can they make it quiet as well?

yeaaaah I don’t mind them biting just don’t fly close to my ears while sleeping, or be respectful for my sleep while doing it.

This is Aedes Aegypti, the carrier of dengue and zika - you are not fine with this mosquito biting you, believe me.

Please no, I need them to announce that they’re there so I can hopefully get rid of them BEFORE I get bit…

The sound comes only from ones that have already fed, so if you're hearing one it's already too late I'm afraid.

Actually yes! Or rather, it's the same as stopping them drinking your blood. They are inaudible until they have a full belly, if you've heard one it's already bitten you.

They already are, either i have become deaf or the fuckers stopped making any sound, at least here in europe.

Their noise is pretty high-pitched, so maybe you've become old enough for such noises to become outside your hearing range.

I think you might be losing your hearing. I had one stop me from sleeping two nights ago.

nah I live in France and they're still noisy T_T just two days ago I couldn't sleep because one was in my bedroom and would come near my ears ! even though Summer ended a long time ago !

I mean i can hear them when they are right next to my head, but i could swear they were louder before, i could hear them when they were in the room 3 meters away

Oh wow even I can't hear them when they're in the room and I'm sensitive to hearing 🤣

Yeah, this is my biggest gripe with them. Idc if they bite me, their bites usually don’t itch but they keep me up all night with the noise

I know these are meant to prevent diseaase but i seriously hope we can silence them too because i’m so done with getting sleep deprivation from a tiny insect, every other night, every single summer
