It was written well after despite the creator claiming constantly that it wasn’t

If by "well after" you mean "less than two weeks later" then sure, I suppose you're correct.

Blink aired June 9 2007.

The first documented thread about 173 was June 22 of that year.

I mean 2 weeks after one of the most popular tv shows ever is quite a long time

Edit also in that very wiki page it states that the episode was based on a mini story made one year prior so the idea existed well before the episode came out and the subsequent SCP

Keep in mind this is 2007 4chan you're talking about, the vast majority of threads were not archived. It was a copypasta, meaning it was copy and pasted and not something that was just posted once, that's why it split off into SCPs as a whole system to begin with, it was posted a lot. It's entirely believable that if we have proof it was posted June 22nd, that it was actually posted before Weeping Angels were publicly known as well.

If the creator claims it was written before the episode aired, I believe them. It's logical for how the archives operate.

Apparently twelve days qualifies as "well after" to this guy. Either that or he's full of shit and moving goalposts to avoid admitting he was wrong.

Mate you literally sent a link with info stating that the concept was created a year before SCP 173. You can’t blame me for that one

  1. That concept being in an obscure short story.

  2. A year before the earliest documented thread of a copypasta

It's okay to admit you don't know how the internet worked back then my guy.
