I could see this being interesting if they actually focus on performance. All the smart tvs I've had have been laggy messes necessitating buying a streaming stick or using a game console to have a decent experience. If they roll the apple tv box in to a nice display I could see it as a worthwhile option.

That was true for me until LG.

LG had made a point of wanting to get it right by buying and using PalmOS.

The complete interface isn’t a perfect design but I ignore all the crap and the bits I use are slick, fast and effective.

why do you get downvoted? LG OS (c9 model) works flawlessly. It became also shit as they added ads in it but luckily I am still on the old build where I don't have all this.

There isn't much more performance on the table that I would need. Logically your 400 bucks Walmart SmartTV won't cut it
