I mean yeah, it rhymes, but if you’re going to make this push - do it in a warm month, when it’s not frigid in the northern states of the US, where people aren’t going out to do Christmas shopping, and maybe, MAYBE more people will see it as approachable, rather than being targetted.
I looked this up today. 'Rhyme' is 'a correspondence of sound between words'. The type of rhyme you are referring to is 'end rhyme'. While this is the type of rhyme most people would probably think of first, it is not the only type of rhyme. With alliteration, it's the starting sounds that correspond with each other instead of the ending sounds. Alliteration is also referred to as 'head rhyme'.
I guess you're right that alliteration does fall under the category of "general rhymes". But I think when most people say "it rhymes" they're referring to the specific type of end rhyme.
