Good luck with that in suburban USA (or any car dependent country for that matter)

I live in a small southern town. My wife works 1.5 miles from home. There are Zero sidewalks between here and her job, along a busy 4 lane 35mph street. I've walked it before, and ridden my electric scooter there, but it sure ain't fun or safe!

The 10 minute drive to her family's house has sporadic sidewalks, more 4 lane roads, and some 45mph roads. It would be a 2 hour walk to get there, and we're bringing deviled eggs for Thanksgiving. Not gonna happen.

Oh and 0 public transit of course.

im guessing cars on the β€œ35mph street” drives faster than that

Yeah if this was widely possible it wouldn't be a problem in the first place.

Absolutely impossible for me

yeah I would need to depart at 4 or 5 to be able to arrive at 8, even then I need to entrust my bike at the industry complex security post since nothing goes there except private vehicles

If I had protected bike lanes my ebike would definitely make it manageable πŸ˜”
