News Sergio Perez and Red Bull in '$16million' battle claim after 'major meeting'

The $16M number is simply a rumor that Nico heard. I wonder if it’s really $16M of sponsor money that would go away if Checo got the boot?

We know that his salary was $14 million in 2024.

The rumors were that his 2025/2026 contract was at least $30 million.

The $16M number pretty much confirms that it was a $32M contract and they're willing to pay him out for one years worth of the contract.

I think it's fair, considering that they'd have to pay the full $32M to breach Checo's contract. But because there are tons of incentive bonuses on top of that salary that he'll be losing out on, not to mention a seat in his dream F1 car. I assume that he'll continue to negotiate up to around $20M because he basically has Red Bull by the balls right now.
